Serwaa Amihere Advises Youth On Impact Of Life Choices

Serwaa Amihere

Popular Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur, Serwaa Amihere, has shared heartfelt advice with the youth, particularly young women, emphasizing the long-term consequences of the choices they make during their formative years.

Speaking at a gathering, Serwaa Amihere emphasized how decisions made in one’s youth can resurface years later, bringing either rewards or challenges.

Reflecting on her own experiences in 2024, a year that tested her resilience, she hinted at the emotional toll of an explicit viral video involving her and Henry Fitz, though she did not directly reference the incident.

“Whatever decision you make, step you take, or choice you make in your youth will definitely come back some three, four, or seven years to bite you hard in the face. And that was exactly what happened to me last year.”

Serwaa recounted the difficult period, revealing how the incident left her battling depression. “I was depressed, actually,” she admitted.

“Many of you didn’t see me cry, but I did. It was one of the toughest moments of my life, and it taught me a great deal about the consequences of our choices.”

Speaking to an audience that included university students, she emphasized the importance of making wise decisions while young.

“There are so many young ones here. Please, be extremely careful and picky about the decisions you make while you’re young. I’m not old, but I’m older than many of you here. The choices you make today can come back and bite you in the face years later.”

Serwaa Amihere also shared how the unwavering support of a close friend, whom she referred to as “Auntie Bobia,” helped her through the ordeal.

Recounting a simple yet impactful moment, she described how her friend took her out for ice cream and a drive, reminding her to embrace life despite the challenges she faced.

The controversy involving Serwaa Amihere and Henry Fitz began when an explicit video purportedly showing the two surfaced online.

The footage, which was shared widely across social media platforms, sent shockwaves through Ghana’s media landscape and left Serwaa at the center of public scrutiny.

Henry Fitz, a wealthy businessman with a reputation for controversy, was alleged to have leaked the video. While the circumstances surrounding the leak remain unclear, it was speculated that a fallout between the two led to the incident.

The scandal painted Serwaa in a negative light, with critics and trolls questioning her integrity and professional standing.

Despite the backlash, Serwaa maintained her silence for months, focusing on her career and avoiding public commentary on the matter.

However, the toll on her mental health was evident, as she recently admitted to dealing with depression during that period.

In retrospect, Serwaa’s candid revelation about her struggles and recovery offers a powerful lesson on resilience and personal growth.

Her decision to use the experience as a cautionary tale for the youth highlights her determination to rise above the scandal and reclaim her narrative.

Lessons From The Scandal

Serwaa Amihere’s story underscores the importance of making conscious decisions in the digital age, where privacy is often compromised.

Her journey serves as a reminder of the long-lasting impact of our actions and the strength required to overcome public scrutiny.

The media personality’s courage in addressing the controversy and her message of hope resonates with many, proving that even in the face of adversity, one can emerge stronger and wiser.

Some social media users commented on Serwaa Amihere’s video as she cautions Ghanaian youth to make wise decisions that won’t bite them in the future.

“God bless you, sis. We all have that past we regret, but it’s a platform for your own upgrade if you walk through as you have done.”
