Black Sherif and Fireboy DML

Popular Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif has teased a new collaboration with Nigerian singer Fireboy DML as part of his forthcoming sophomore album, Iron Boy.

The Ghanaian superstar shared the cover art for their song, ‘So It Goes’, sparking excitement among fans in Ghana and Nigeria.

This announcement comes as Black Sherif’s latest single, ‘Lord I’m Amazed’, continues to gain traction.

Two weeks after its release on January 9, the song entered the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart and it now sits alongside top-performing tracks like Awuke by Davido and YG Marley.

Black Sherif is no stranger to chart success. His 2022 hit Kwaku The Traveller debuted at No. 2 on the same UK chart. With ‘Lord I’m Amazed’, he secured another major milestone as his first charting single in 2025.

The musician has been putting a lot of effort into promoting his sophomore project. He recently shared gift packages with a few selected fans, with the album title engraved on the package.

Fans have also been anticipating details about Iron Boy, though an official release date has not been announced.

Meanwhile, Black Sherif has disclosed tour dates for North America, with stops in Washington, D.C., Boston, and Chicago in mid-2025 despite the album not being released yet.

Jasmine.T, a Bronx-born singer and songwriter of Ghanaian and Nigerian descent, wants to establish a connection with her ancestry through music.

In tandem with this, Jasmine.T who is making great strides with her craft, has expressed her desire to work with some of Ghana’s brilliant artists. 

“I’m looking to work with multiple Ghanaian artistes, but my top three are, King Promise, Black Sheriff, and Stonebwoy.”

Jasmine.T intimated that the recent impact of Afrobeat on the global music scene has been phenomenal.

“It gives a lot of hidden talents in Africa the opportunity to be seen, because we’ve always been here but we’ve been overlooked for a long time. Everything started here so no matter what it’s always going to come back to us. Africa is literally the blueprint.”

Born to Ghanaian parents who migrated to the United States in the 90s, Jasmine is well-bred in the African culture.

Since she began her musical journey in 2018 with her debut R&B single, ‘Lonely’, she has been working hard to break boundaries with his music. 

The eclectic nature of her identity and her sound stems from her experience growing up in various neighborhoods of the Bronx, including an uptown area predominantly home to Caribbean communities.

She combines elements of urban New York life with the vibrant rhythms of West African and Caribbean music.

Her single, ‘Sexy 23’, is a testament to her versatility and knack for creativity. She fuses the sensual grooves of R&B with the infectious energy of dancehall in the song.

Her sound is a reflection of her life experiences, offering an authentic musical experience that celebrates her heritage while staying true to her roots in the Bronx. 

Jasmine.T is blessed with other songs such as ‘Heat’, ‘You Knew’, ‘Ride’, ‘Pressure’, ‘Deserve’, and ‘No BS’ remix.
