Grammy-nominated singer, Davido, has described his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, as the best governor the state has ever had.
Davido expressed deep admiration for Adeleke’s leadership, noting that despite early criticism and being underestimated due to his well-known love for dancing, the governor has proven himself to be highly effective.
According to him, Adeleke has surpassed all expectations and delivered impressive results as governor.
“My uncle, the Dancing Governor, is good vibes. He has an amazing story, he is the youngest in my dad’s family. They [Osun people] never believed that he would become a governor.
“He is a real example of ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’; just because somebody likes to dance and have a good time, it doesn’t mean that when it is time to work, he won’t. Now, he’s been the best Governor that they’ve ever had.”

The Nigerian music superstar also stirred reactions online after he publicly declared his allegiance to the United States of America.
The ‘Unavailable’ crooner dropped the comment under the Instagram post of popular media personality, Tunde Ednut, who had just announced that he is now a US citizen. In response to the celebratory post, Davido wrote: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.”
Tunde Ednut, clearly excited, responded with, “@davido FELLOW CITIZEN, I LOVE YOU OBO!!!”
The comment section quickly became lively, as fans of the singer debated the meaning behind Davido’s pledge.
While some saw it as a lighthearted show of support, others questioned his patriotism, especially in light of recent political discussions.

Ben Murray-Bruce Predicts Davido’s Political Future
Former Bayelsa East senator and media mogul, Ben Murray-Bruce, predicted Davido could one day become the Governor of Osun State.
Murray-Bruce highlighted the singer’s deep political lineage and growing ideological interest, suggesting that the artist’s influence could translate into electoral success if he chooses to run for office.
“David Adeleke, the global phenomenon better known as Davido, is undeniably an international artist and a true Nigerian superstar. He stands as one of Nigeria’s most valuable cultural exports.
“However, beneath the surface of this music icon lies a side that many may not be aware of. He is, by his own admission, a political animal with deeply held views and a clear-cut political ideology.”

He stated, “Considering all of these, the thought that Davido himself could one day aspire to become the Governor of Osun State seems more like a potential trajectory, especially if his political inclinations are nurtured and strategically channelled.”
