British music star, Adele, has banned unvaccinated fans from attending her upcoming concerts. The mother of one who announced the 24-date run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Sin City last month has added a “hard rule” which might stop many from attending the concert which begins on January 21.

A statement on the website that sells tickets of Adele’s concert, Ticketmaster read: “The event organizer is requiring all attendees of this event to have been fully vaccinated (14 days past final vaccination shot) and to have received a negative Covid-19 test within 48-hours of the event. Both proof of vaccination and proof of negative test within 48-hours of the event is required to enter the event”.

The vaccine requirement extends to anyone who is eligible to receive a vaccine. Children not eligible, will still be required to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test and also wear a mask at the event.

Adele speaking about the issue said: “It’s too unpredictable, with all the rules and stuff. I don’t want anyone coming to my show scared. And I don’t want to get Covid-19, either”.

Adele is reportedly set to join the pantheon of iconic artists who have undertaken their own residencies in Las Vegas.

Speaking of her successful music career, after her long-awaited album ’30’, was released recently, Adele admitted she struggled with drinking during the pandemic.

“Everyone had to face a lot of their demons because they had so much time on their hands with nothing to distract them. They had to face themselves in isolation. Whereas I did that the year before. My first emergency run at the grocery store was for Whispering Angel [Rosé] and ketchup. Whispering Angel turned me into a barking dog. It did not make me whisper”.

Adele’s latest ban has been compared to an announcement made by Rod Stewart.  According to reports, Sir Rod Stewart will only allow those who have had their third COVID-19 vaccine to attend his Christmas party.

The 76-year-old rock star slammed those who have chosen not to take the vaccine, branding them as “killers” and spoke of how he has banned anyone unvaccinated from attending his festive get-together.

“It makes me angry, especially in America where they talk about ‘It’s my right, it’s my freedom’. No, it’s not! Because you are a killer, and you can be killed. We have a big party at the house every year. We have a marquee and a band. We’re just going to make sure everybody has been tested. It’s dead simple. If you haven’t been tested, if you haven’t got the two vaccines and the booster, you can’t come”.

Rod Stewart

The ‘Maggie May’ hitmaker alluded to Austria, who recently announced a vaccine mandate would be enforced in February 2022.

When asked whether he believes the vaccine should be made compulsory in the UK, he declined to answer but “strongly advised” listeners to take the jab, before admitting he can understand the hesitancy of pregnant women.

“I don’t want to get into that one, people are entitled to their views. But I strongly advise people to go and get vaxxed”.
