The Chief Executive Officer of McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley explains that, entrepreneurs across the country have really proven their worth during the lock down season of the Covid-19.
According to Dr. McKorley, even though there have been several job losses and closure of jobs, he believes that, innovation and readiness to win among the entrepreneurs in Ghana are much more to be laudable.
Speaking at a launch of the McDan enterpreneurship second challenge, he explained Covid-19 to have brought the best out of entrepreneurs in the country.
He acknowledged Covid-19 to be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to think and also to be innovative.
Entrepreneurs have now remodeled their businesses which have made these entrepreneurs successful, he said.
Commenting on the launch of the of McDan second Challenge, he described the challenge to be more innovative this time around than the first challenge.
“I see more innovation in the second challenge than the first one. There are more of different dynamics in the second season. The contestants in the second season are more determined and serious.
“When we started this challenge a lot of people taught it was a joke but after they saw what happened in the first season, and what is really happening in the lives of the contestants, it has become very competitive now”.
He explained that, the contestants in the challenge will not be measured with drive and innovation only but based on their attitude too. To become a successful person, he said, is about determination and consistency.
According to him there are many mediums to become a successful person but with him, every successful person needs to put on the right attitude and be innovative too.
“What makes you successful is not what you know or what you have learnt but your attitude”.
The 4-week long contest has so far numbered over 16,000 participants. The reality television show will see the ultimate winner walk away with funding and mentoring support of up to $100,000.
