Huawei Ghana Unveils New Partner Policy And Energy Innovations

Mr. Tommy Liang, Managing Director, Huawei Ghana

Huawei’s Channel Director for the Digital Power Sub-Saharan Africa Region, Mr. Jeffery Zhang, has introduced the company’s new channel partner policy focused on “trust, profit, simplicity, and growth.”

This policy underscores Huawei’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial relationships with partners within an integrated ecosystem.

Mr. Tommy Liang, Managing Director of Huawei Ghana, emphasized Huawei’s corporate commitment to leveraging technological innovations for sustainable energy solutions and global energy transition.

“Our vision for partnership is built on the belief that collaboration with Ghana’s local channel partners can facilitate technology localization and create jobs, cultivate professional talent, and achieve mutual success. We are dedicated to supporting our partners through professional training and market development initiatives.”

Mr. Tommy Liang

The partner policies are driven by capabilities and are defined by four key measures known as ‘PSEE’: Profitability, aimed at ensuring partners’ profitability; Simplicity, designed to simplify policies and processes for smoother collaboration; Enablement, focused on continuously enhancing partner capabilities; and Ecosystem, dedicated to investing in the development of the overall ecosystem.

During the event, Huawei Digital Power also highlighted trends in the global smart PV (photovoltaic) industry.

Notably, there is a growing trend in smart string inverters, an area where Huawei holds a prominent position as a global advocate and promoter.

Residential Smart PV Solution

Huawei’s Residential Smart PV Solution is designed to maximize energy efficiency, storage, consumption management, and safety, ultimately enabling households to achieve electricity self-sufficiency.

The solution includes two primary offerings: Power-M and Luna. Luna serves as a comprehensive, all-in-one solution providing stable and reliable power for residential spaces, offices, and apartments.

On the other hand, Power-M is a modular Smart String Energy Storage system that offers versatile applications across different scenarios such as apartments, businesses, homes, or villas.

This hybrid power solution integrates various energy sources including the grid, solar power, Diesel Generator (DG), and battery storage to optimize energy usage and reliability.

Commercial & Industrial Smart PV Solution

Huawei’s Commercial & Industrial Smart PV Solutions cater specifically to commercial and industrial (C&I) users, offering products like the LUNA2000-200KWH that prioritize security, efficiency, and simplified operations and maintenance (O&M).

These solutions also generate additional revenue through power services.

The Smart String Energy Storage System (ESS) lineup from Huawei features several options including the LUNA 200kWh, LUNA 1MWh, LUNA 2MWh, and Power-S. compared to traditional Central ESS solutions.

Huawei’s Smart String ESS solutions provide enhanced safety, longer product lifespan, increased usable energy, and simplified O&M.

Additionally, they offer independent control over battery racks and packs, giving users greater flexibility and efficiency in managing their energy storage systems.

Utility Smart PV & ESS Solution

The energy solution offered by Huawei Digital Power prioritizes photovoltaic (PV) electricity as the primary energy source.

By leveraging “Artificial Intelligence (AI) + grid forming technology,” Huawei developed an intelligent PV + Energy Storage System (ESS) generator.

This innovative approach incorporates three key stability reconstruction technologies: voltage stability, frequency stability, and power angle stability.

These technologies are essential for strengthening power grids in Africa, particularly in areas with weak infrastructure, making it an optimal choice for large-scale projects.

During a recent summit, key partners shared their experiences and collaborations with Huawei in the energy sector.

They highlighted the benefits of Huawei’s premium product solutions, extensive channel policies, and successful projects that have stemmed from this partnership.

This demonstrates the tangible impact of Huawei’s technology and strategic initiatives in advancing energy solutions and infrastructure development.

Huawei believes that partnership is the key to the new era of solar. With a vision of creating a low-carbon society, Huawei pledges to create a better, greener future with its partners in the spirit of lighting up a greener Africa.
