The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has indicated its intention to resume Saturday Banking Services across some selected branches across the country.
In a statement issued by the ADB Bank, the bank will operate on Saturdays in 27 branches across the country. The selected branches are spread across ten (10) regions. The regions include: Greater Accra Region, Ashanti and Bono/Bono East Regions, Central, Western, Eastern, Northern and Upper West Regions.
In the intervening time, the branches in the Greater Accra Region include: Spintex, Madina, Tema Main, Dansoman, Kaneshie, Makola, Ridge, New Town, Nima, Ring Road Central (RRC), Teshie, Nungua and Abeka Lapaz branch. Also, in the Ashanti and Bono/Bono East Regions, the Obuasi, Kumasi Adum, Ejisu, Berekum, Techiman, Sunyani and Dormaa Ahenkro branches would be available for customers on Saturdays.
The statement moreover, disclosed that customers in the Central, Western, Eastern, Northern and Upper West Regions would be served at Kasoa, Mankessim, Takoradi Market Circle, Koforidua, Nkawkaw, Tamale Main and Wa for the Saturday Banking services.
Resumption of Holiday Remittance services
Commenting on the resumption of Saturday banking by the bank, the ADB Managing Director, Dr John Kofi Mensah noted that the resumption of the Saturday service was part of management’s decision to offer more services to customers knowing that most customers do transactions on Saturdays too.
The Managing Director of ADB iterated that the expansion of the bank’s Saturday banking is in response to new business opportunities and the wish of management to satisfy the bank’s customers across the country.
The ADB Managing Director revealed the operating time saying “the branches would be opened from 0900 hours to 1400 hours.”
Again, Dr John Kofi Mensah also announced the resumption of Holiday Remittance services in some selected branches. Meanwhile, he disclosed that five (5) branches within the Greater Accra region would resume Holiday Remittance services. These branches include: Abeka-Lapaz, Nungua, New Town, Madina and Kasoa.
“With customers currently abiding by the COVID-19 protocols and the continuous demand for the service by our customers, we are resuming the service in our 27 selected branches. We are also resuming Holiday Remittance services in some selected branches.”

Dr John Kofi Mensah thus, urged customers who will be receiving monies from their friends, families and love ones during holidays such as Easter, Eid-al-Adha, and Christmas to take advantage of the banks Holiday Remittance services to receive money from their loved ones abroad during public holidays.
It can be recalled that ADB Bank expanded its Saturday banking in 2016 by forty-two more branches across the country.
Meanwhile the decision by the ADB Bank to resume Saturday banking adds to the growing list of banks offering Saturday service in the country.
