FBNBank Ghana and Remitly Money Transfer have launched a partnership that would make it easier for Ghanaians to receive international money transfers from over 145 countries globally, including 40 African nations.
The agreement would allow those living abroad to send money to their families and friends in Ghana via FBNBank Ghana.
According to Mr. Victor Y. Asante, MD/CEO of FBNBank, the partnership with Remitly Money Transfer will support the bank’s agenda of facilitating seamless money transfers to every resident in the country.

Customers and users of Remitly money transfer at FBNBank, he said, will benefit from reducing the risks of money laundering and advancing responsible financial inclusion of migrants and their beneficiaries, accelerating the transformation of rural households, and increased convenience for and empowerment of users.
More so, according to Statista, an online platform specialized in market and consumer data, in 2022, personal remittances received covered 6.1 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and this has helped reduce poverty, enabled capital imports, and improved living conditions.
