Controversial Dancehall/Reggae artist, Shatta Wale has issued a warning to his fans, urging them to disregard entertainment programs that he claims are conspiring against him.
The outspoken musician noted that there is a deliberate effort to tarnish his reputation because he chose to distance himself from the industry.
“Don’t pay attention to any entertainment program; they have ganged up to sabotage me. Just because I don’t want to be part of the industry, they have planned to shame me by spreading news that I don’t respect and that I insult a lot. They don’t have money, which is why they are lying.”

He advised his fans to stop tuning in to entertainment programs which he believes could hinder their personal growth.
Shatta Wale invited his fans to connect directly with him on social media for unfiltered updates, saying, “Throw your radio and TV away, the world is open now, if you want to listen to me, come on my social media. I will come on live and talk to you.”
This is the latest in a series of tussles between the artiste and media personalities. In 2023, Shatta Wale had major spats with pundits of the popular UTV show, United Showbiz.
He accused them of spreading false narratives about him and attempting to sabotage his brand.
GSPD Cautions Shatta Wale
The Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) issued a stern caution to Shatta Wale, urging the musician to refrain from mocking his colleague, Stonebwoy, over his disability.
The rebuke comes in response to a recent incident during Shatta Wale’s performance at Sallahfest, where he launched insults at Stonebwoy for his absence at the event. Shatta Wale’s comments, including mockery of Stonebwoy’s manner of walking, sparked widespread criticism after videos of the incident circulated on social media.
The GSPD has expressed concern over Shatta Wale’s behavior and its potential impact on the mental well-being of the physically disabled community.
The GSPD condemned Shatta Wale’s actions as irresponsible and harmful. The statement highlighted Shatta Wale’s remarks, which insinuated that disability equates to being a bad person, as particularly troubling.
The statement said some of Shatta Wale’s fans include persons with disability who will not be happy with his comment.
“We want to remind Shatta Wale that a section of his own fans who are making him who he is are persons with disabilities. Did he think how they would feel? or does Shatta Wale think he has made it so he does not care?
“By this statement, he is trying to say all persons with disabilities are bad, that is why God has made us who we are. This primitive statement should not have come from a high-profile personality like Shatta Wale.”
The statement
The GSPD emphasized that disability is not synonymous with being cursed or punished by a higher power.
They called on Shatta Wale to apologize to the community and take steps to remove the offensive videos from social media platforms.
The group urged the public to embrace persons with disability and be empathetic towards them, saying, “Disability indeed can be anyone’s lot at any given time.”
This comes after one musician Bosheba De Shyne expressed his disappointment in Shatta Wale after the comments he made on the Sallahfest stage.
The musician who has a disability said he did not find it in good taste that an artiste he looks up to had weaponized disability, using it to insult a colleague.
