In another landmark feat, Ayra Starr’s sophomore album ‘The Year I Turned 21’ has surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify.
Released on May 31, 2024, the 15-track album enjoyed critical acclaim for its robust exploration of the Nigerian pop framework while equally showcasing Ayra Starr’s global ambitions.

‘The Year I Turned 21’ set the record for the biggest opening day and week for an album by a Nigerian female artist on Spotify.

The landmark stride of hitting 500 million streams makes Ayra Starr’s sophomore album the most streamed by an African female artist on Spotify.
It also makes it one of the most streamed Nigerian albums on the platform while edging her closer to the 2 billion streaming mark on Spotify.
Fans in Disbelief as Ayra Starr Wears Long-Fitted Gown

Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, professionally known as Ayra Starr, left her fans in shock after rocking a long white gown in a viral video.
The ‘Good Samaritan’ crooner, who is known for her love of skimpy dresses and skirts that usually unsettles her fans, was seen joining the ‘Just Give Me My Money challenge’ with her friends and sister.
She was the one who led the challenge, as others also tried to sing after her. At one point, she was seen rolling in laughter when the last person didn’t get her challenge right.
After bending down, her ankle-length gown became more visible to the delight of her fans, who reacted to the video.
One other striking feature in the video was Ayra Starr’s slightly protruding tummy in the fitted gown which sparked pregnancy speculations.
Her hair was neatly packed to the back, and she rocked a white earring to match her gown. This is in contrast to thought thought-provoking outfits she has worked for her other events like her album party.

In other news, the young and gifted Nigerian singer was recently observed in a deeply distressing condition of fatigue and illness, which stands in stark contrast to her typically lively and dynamic persona.
In a recent video from her personal docuseries featuring her family, Ayra is depicted resting in bed, with her sister positioned on her right and her mother on her left.
The video displays a heartfelt picture of a superstar dealing with the pressures of fame and the physical toll it takes.
Ayra, who is unable to talk, openly discusses the unwavering love her family has given her throughout her journey. She started coughing at one point, causing her anxious sister to ask if she needed water.
Ayra, despite feeling exhausted, firmly refused, citing her body’s tendency to move slowly even when her music career demands constant fitness and flexibility.
The tired Mavin star seemed drained in the video, but her words were filled with affection for her family.
She expressed that being with her loved ones brings her the most happiness, and their lively group conversations always make her feel connected no matter where she is.
According to her, she never misses them because they are always present in her life, supporting her every step of the way.
Throughout the video, Ayra Starr’s mother remained by her side, her expression filled with pride, worry, and a profound love for her daughter, who has emerged as an amazing person despite the difficulties she faces.
