“May God preserve you Kwaku. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. We bind the spirit that cuts out the life of young talents that rise up in this nation. That York of averageness in this country is broken in your life, you won’t fall or fail in Jesus’s name”.

The big win at Headies 2023
The current Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, Black Sherif, spotted in the United States of America (USA) was celebrating his inaugural visit to Empire with a champagne toast.
The artist has earned a prominent reputation in the music industry by winning numerous accolades in Ghana, Africa, and on the international stage.
Black Sherif made his first visit to Empire distribution and publishing label in San Francisco, USA, to strengthen his relationship with the label and gain insights into their operations. He reportedly joined Empire in 2022.
Empire also collaborates with well-known Nigerian artists like Olamide, Asake, Fireboy, and others in the music industry.
Ghanaian highlife musician Kidi is also part of the Empire label, responsible for the distribution and promotion of artists’ songs.
A video shared by Ghanaian blogger Blacvolta, captured Black Sherif and others at Empire, celebrating with champagne and cheers. This celebration coincides with his West African Artiste of the Year award, which he received at the Headies.
It can be recalled that Black Sherif was named the most streamed artiste on the digital streaming platform, Audiomack in 2023.
The list featured prominent African artists such as Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, and Rema among others.
Black Sherif earlier this month made a return with his mesmerizing voice, introducing a delightful two-track release titled “Take Care of Yourself Blacko”.
The project includes the songs “Yaya” and “Simmer Down”, co-produced by Joker Nharnah and Samsney.
An introspective pair of singles, “YAYA” and “Simmer Down” marked the 21-year-old’s growth as he navigates the cold streets of fame while staying true to himself.
While “YAYA” follows the lens of his alter ego, a rebel who gave fate a chance and is in search of healing, “Simmer Down” is a highlife, soul and drilled infused anthem about keeping a winning mentality and practicing patience to downplay opposition.
