Ghanaian gospel singer, Samuel Opoku, better known as Brother Sammy has posed some very brutal questions to veteran gospel singer, Cecilia Marfo.
This transpired during an interview session on an Accra based radio station.
This is followed after what started as a thanksgiving service by patrons of the Unity Group of Companies turned sour when gospel musician and prophetess, Cecilia Marfo interrupted a ministration by Joyce Blessing. In a viral video making rounds on social media, the prophetess was seen praying in ‘tongues’ and speaking in the Akan dialect. She also delved into the spiritual realm, prophesied, and ordered Joyce Blessing to return to her husband, Dave Joy.
Brother Sammy had a list of questions seeking to find out the mental health of Cecilia Marfo. He posed several questions to Cecilia Marfo as he answered some himself. For the first question, he asked why Cecilia Marfo was cut off from the Pentecostal church.
“Number one, how come a very spiritual church, as Pentecost will just cancel you out of the church and say you are not part of us? It is because they realized your ‘fowl’ spirit and their good spirit don’t match, so they had to take her out of the church”.
The ‘Amen’ crooner went on to ask why she made the congregation of the 2017 edition of the ‘Unity concert’ eat sand, and even went further to disgrace one musician at the program.
“Number two, why would she make us collect sand during last four years ‘Unity concert’ and then ask the congregation to chew it and swallow it? She also disgraced one musician at the concert. The guy was singing and Cecilia Marfo just snatched the microphone from him. She said his hair was too bushy and I don’t even know where she got the scissors and cut the guy’s hair in front of the whole congregation”.
He also made some shocking revelations about Cecilia. According to Brother Sammy, he alleged that Cecilia Marfo had an abortion last year, and that led to her being admitted to the hospital.
“Number three why was Cecilia Marfo admitted to the hospital last year? She had an abortion. I have evidence for that”.
Brother Sammy continued to pose his questions to Cecilia as he asked why she was no longer on good terms with the very producer who brought her to the limelight.
“Number four why is it that sorry to say, when she went ‘mad’, why is it that Cebbas, who is a producer had mercy on her and picked her up, and invested in her to become a person, why is it that she is no longer in good terms with him?”
He also asked why her relationship with her manager became sour, even after her manager had gone round to defend her that she never slapped him [Brother Sammy] during a church service.
“Number five why is it that her manager, who is Nakuja why is it that she is no longer on good terms with him anymore? He was the same person that went round to tell others that Cecilia didn’t slap me”.
That notwithstanding, popular preacher, Kumchacha, who was present at the interview session, opined that there is the need for Cecilia Marfo to undergo some psychological assistance, to help find if she is mentally sound per the questions and revelations made by Brother Sammy.
“It is no sin to check on one’s mental health honestly. Cecilia Marfo needs to get her mental health checked because what she keeps doing is quite disturbing”.
