Ghanaian Kumawood actress, Christiana Awuni has called out counsellor Charlotte Oduro for a public apology amid her marital woes.

The counsellor’s husband recently issued a press statement announcing their divorce. He confirmed that he and the controversial counsellor Charlotte Oduro had been separated for the past three years.

“The couple has been separated for the past three years and after further reflection and guidance, they officially dissolved their marriage traditionally last year. Despite multiple efforts at settlement, irreconcilable differences have necessitated this move.”

Charlotte Oduro is a staunch advocate for women submitting to their husbands at all costs.

In 2021, Charlotte directed women not to leave their husbands when they cheated but to ramp up efforts to make them feel more appreciated.

Some Ghanaians reacted to Christiana’s advice.

“I thought women were supposed to be their fellow women why all this denigration? I’m ashamed of two of you sitting there saying this rubbish. Some men hate to see their women to be popular and productive more than them.”

Béatrice Akakpo

“Is the host married? Or slay queen or side chick? She is even more annoying than Christiana Awuni. Jubilation over a fellow woman’s divorce! Heeerrrrr women! Women! All because of what? As far as u are a woman, no shaken. Yours will come in a different form.”

Akosua Twumasiwaa

“Women are on their own enemies, look at the way they are happy about it. Christiana Awuni, I think you are out of your mind.”

Counsellor, relationship expert, and media personality, Reverend Charlotte Oduro detailed what men mean when they describe a woman as disrespectful.

In a video circulating on social media Counsellor Charlotte Oduro said men can describe women as disrespectful.

However, she indicated that most women described as disrespectful by their men are possibly wiser than their male partners.

“If you get a man whose thinking is low, he sees a wise woman to be foolish. In our society when a man says a woman does not respect, then it is a woman who is wiser than the man and he cannot comprehend the woman’s wisdom.

“Some men can’t stand the wisdom of women. He will do anything to make the woman seem like a fool. They will make you question yourself and wonder if there is something wrong with you the woman. There is nothing wrong with you, they just can’t stand what you carry.”

In a TikTok Video, Counsellor Charlotte Oduro, the woman tagged disrespectful becomes a threat to her man and then society buys into his narrative.

The Counsellor also revealed that she had a lot of marital problems right after saying her marital vows.

Charlotte Oduro disclosed that she lived in a Muslim community where her parents were financially unstable, and she committed online fraud to sponsor herself through school.

The former wife of Apostle Solomon Oduro explained that she met her husband at church, and they started on a very bad note, which made her dislike him very much.

The outspoken counsellor added that due to the intervention of their pastor, she agreed to meet him, but he was a village man who had no sense of fashion and they married in a lovely ceremony.

She boldly emphasised that they have always disagreed on things, and she has moved out of her matrimonial homes multiple times.

The video went viral after her husband, Apostle Solomon Oduro released a statement on Monday, February 10, 2025, that their marriage had ended.
