Francine Nyanko Koffi who is popularly known as Fantana in the entertainment industry has congratulated her biological mother, Dorcas Affo-Toffey after she won the parliamentary seat for the Jomoro constituency.

The hitmaker of ‘Rich Gyal Anthem’, took to her Instagram page to congratulate her mother for her victory against sitting MP Paul Essien, and went on to praise her for what she was going to do for her constituency. She wrote:

“Mom, you are the HOPE of JOMORO. YOU WON! YOU DID IT! Born LEADER! You are for the PEOPLE and we love you! I’m so proud of you. Jomoro, you guys are in good hands! The FINEST MP, THE REALEST! ‘wo ye GUY’. We are ready for you”.

Several fans and followers have also joined the hip hop/ rap artist to also congratulate her mother for the win and also went further to even shower her with compliments.

Meanwhile, some people have argued that the reason for Dorcas Affo-Toffey’s win was because of the influence Shatta Wale had on the electorate in that constituency.

It can be recalled that Ghanaian dancehall star and record producer Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., also known as Shatta Wale, threw his weight behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Jomoro constituency, Dorcas Nda-Affo Toffey.

Shatta Wale, during his regional music tour, took the opportunity to endorse Fantana’s mother and further urged his fans to massively vote for her.

He said he likes Dorcas Toffey, who is popularly known in her constituency as Jomoro Yaa Asantewaa, because, she believes in education and equal worth.

Shatta Wale revealed that he had received support from Fantana’s mother and further disclosed that she sometimes covers his plane tickets.

“This is why I like madam Affo- Toffey… She took me as her son. When I travel, she caters for my tickets. She can also do the same for you. So, she isn’t a bad person”.

Dorcas Nda-Affo Toffey has been hailed by her constituents for her philanthropic projects.

It was reported a few months ago that she donated a brand-new ambulance from her coffers worth GHC240,000 to the Half Assini government hospital in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region for emergency relief services.

She won with 24,356 votes cast for her as against her main contender Paul Essien who managed to gather 19,889 votes.  Samira Yaba Christiana Nkrumah gathered 10,529 votes and Patrick Ekye Kwesie got 235 on the ticket of the IND and CPP respectively.
