Celebrity chef Chioma Adeleke is on the verge of turning 29, and her husband, afrobeats superstar David Adeleke (better known as Davido), is thrilled about honoring her special day.
Last week, David surprised Chioma with bundles of cash and bouquets of roses ahead of her 29th birthday on May 1, 2024.
He shared pictures of these gifts on Instagram, including stacks of cash, luxurious items, and a personalized note.
In a recent video post about Chioma shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Davido also addressed criticisms from his colleague, Wizkid, and dismissed all negative attention and infidelity scandals aimed at him and his marriage, urging his followers to pay no heed to detractors.
“They were trying to distract us, baby, but don’t let them get to us…,” Davido wrote in the post, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to their relationship despite external pressures.
Continuing their grand celebration, the celebrity couple is presently reveling in a luxurious vacation in Jamaica, where they were captured indulging in affectionate displays, showcasing their undying love amidst the tropical paradise.
In the video footage, Davido was seen warmly embracing his wife, their laughter echoing joyfully. To add a playful touch, the singer affectionately smacked her bum, sparking enthusiastic cheers and excitement from those around them.
Also, he declared her his best friend, confidant, and soldier.

Wizkid and Davido Drag Each Other Online
Nigerian superstars Wizkid and Davido engaged in a shocking back-and-forth online.
What started as Wizkid’s online interactive session with fans in the early hours of April 29 quickly deteriorated into a controversial moment as he called Don Jazzy an influencer while also trolling Davido by posting the viral video where he was crying.
Davido reacted later in the day when he posted, “They don forget your gbedu”, on his X account as a cheeky sub to Wizkid by claiming the street no longer resonates with his music.
Things quickly went downhill as Wizkid delivered a scathing reply where he referred to a Davido associate, Perruzi, as a “pant washer” while stating that Davido had nothing on him musically.
“You all your crew plus your pant washer songwriter go to sleep at night thinking you actually got anything on me in music wish u all well,” Wizkid wrote.
Wizkid called Davido a “delusional” person to which Davido in return called him a “sick man”. In another moment that sent social media agog, Wizkid again replied to Davido with the viral video where he was recorded on his knees crying.
“That’s what I thought. Nothing to say! Exactly why I stopped wasting my clout and jeopardizing my millions of USD of endorsements on someone whose career was resurrected a few years ago just to die again. NEXT!!.” Davido posted in reply as the back and forth continued.
Wizkid trolled Davido by calling him an influencer with a songwriter as the diss reached new lows.
“I got none to say to you, my boy! I can retire today and you are still not on my level. You be an influencer with a songwriter. Wish you well.”

They kept going at it with Davido calling Wizkid a 4ft man who shops for his shoes at Kids Footlocker while daring Wizkid to drop a solo song on Friday. Wizkid in return dared Davido to drop one that he wrote for himself.
The online back and forth between Davido and Wizkid comes as a shock after the duo appeared to be cool just months ago when they both partied in December 2023 with Davido also announcing Wizkid’s last project ‘S2’.
