Popular Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko, has debunked claims that she had an affair with Matthew Ekeinde, husband of ace movie star, Omotola Jalade.

A TikTok blogger had alleged that the Enugu-born actress had an affair with the husband of her colleague.

The blogger also claimed that Omotola’s husband purchased a car for Etiko.

But in a recent Instagram live session, Etiko denied the allegation, stating it was “false”.

According to the film producer, this is part of a continuous effort by some individuals to tarnish her image.

“If you want to withhold the blessings of God in somebody else’s life and you want to grow, it is impossible. Before, you guys had always spoken ill about me. Do men give money? If they do, I do not know.

“Even if they do, I do not know. The last time I checked, I worked for 99.9% of all I have. I did it all myself with my full chest. I do not know why some people are bitter; perhaps they are scared.”

“On most of my birthdays, I always buy a car because I love to change my car every year,” she said.

The movie star added that the viral photo of her and Ekeinde was taken over four years ago.

“Some bitter people sat down and brought pictures of Omotola’s husband that I took with him over four years ago. And how did it happen? I was on a flight and he was the pilot, so some people were snapping pictures with me. He asked what was happening and they told him I was an actress.

“He looked and I greeted him with (the) respect of a senior colleague’s husband. I asked him to let us take a selfie because of respect. We went there and took a selfie and that was it.”

The filmmaker made a post advising Nollywood actors to prioritize punctuality and passion in their careers.

She shared her wisdom with her followers, inspiring aspiring actors to work diligently towards their dreams.

Etiko who has gained immense popularity for her exceptional performances, bagged a degree in Theatre Arts from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

She joined Nollywood in 2012 and gained prominence after she starred in the movie titled ‘Idemili’ which was produced in 2012 by Ernest Obi.

The movie (Idemili) earned her a nomination at the City People Entertainment Awards where she won the Most Promising Actress of the Year Award (English).

Actress Leveraged Philanthropy To Celebrate Her Recent Birthday

In a world where celebrity culture often gravitates towards celebrating birthdays with professional colleagues and very close friends, few stars manage to break the mold and offer a refreshing perspective on how to mark significant milestones.

Nigerian actress, Destiny Etiko recently set a remarkable example of philanthropy by choosing to celebrate her birthday in a way that not only resonated with her values but also uplifted her fans in need.

Her approach serves as a powerful reminder that with fame comes responsibility, and that generosity can be the most fulfilling way to celebrate life’s milestones.

There is no denying the fact that she has made waves in the Nigerian film industry as she is often recognized for her vibrant performances and authentic on-screen presence. However, it is her commitment to giving back to society that truly distinguishes her within the entertainment landscape.

Known for her philanthropic work, Destiny has consistently leveraged her social media platforms to advocate for the less privileged, demonstrating that celebrity status can be a force for good.

As she approached her recent birthday, Destiny reflected on how she wanted to celebrate this special occasion. Ostensibly inspired by the conventional birthday parties filled with glitz and glamour, she envisioned an event that could create a meaningful impact on humanity.

This led her to embark on randomly giving tokens to her fans and even partnered with RinzeFX Academy for highly subsidized training and mentorship for some of her lucky fans on Forex trading on her birthday, which was celebrated on August 12, 2024, in Nigeria, and consequently in Houston, U.S.A.

Both initiatives taken to celebrate her birthday were aimed at providing support and assistance to those in need.

Her story encourages everyone, celebrities and everyday individuals alike, to reflect on how they can contribute to the lives of those who are in need, and even communities that are in need.

Whether it is through volunteer work, financial donations, or simply lending a listening ear to those in need, every effort counts.
