Tanzanian music star, Diamond Platnumz has hinted at being married to his record label signee, Zuchu.
Diamond referred to himself as Zuchu’s husband while commenting on an Instagram post by his record label WCB Wasafi.
“That’s Zuuh’s (Zuchu) husband,” Diamond wrote while commenting on a video in which he gave a thrilling performance.
It was reported earlier that Diamond started dating Zuchu back in December 2021. Some local news platforms also reported that they married on February 14, 2022, but they did not confirm or deny if the wedding ever happened.
According to some reports, Diamond’s cousin Romy Jones, who is also his official DJ had also confirmed that the ‘Bongo’ singer indeed married Zuchu in a Muslim wedding that was held in Dar es Salaam.
“What’s currently happening in Madale. My younger brother Nasibu(Diamond Platnumz) you can now settle down. Get a baby and name him after me,” Romy Jones said at the time.
Zuchu addresses talk about getting married to Diamond
It can be recalled that Zuchu in an interview set the record straight regarding her alleged romantic relationship with Diamond Platnumz. Speaking during a discussion, Zuchu noted that Diamond is her boss and that will never change.
At some point during the interview, Zuchu got a video call from Diamond and she said it was normal for him to ask her whereabouts since he cares about all artists under his label.
“He is my boss. He called to ask whether I got here safe. He was just making sure,” Zuchu said while smiling.
Asked whether they had already moved in together, the ‘Mwambieni’ singer said that was not true.
Although she neither denied nor confirmed that they are a pair, Zuchu admitted that she has been to Diamond’s house and had even prepared a meal for him.
“There is a rumor that has been doing rounds. The truth is that I am dating someone. He is a businessman and he is physically fit. We have dated for slightly over four months,” she said, without mentioning any names.
Zuchu also revealed that she likes Diamond’s work ethic and described him as an important person in her career growth.
“He is very important in my life and I owe him a lot. Diamond is the most generous person I know. He is also romantic, as you have seen before with his exes, and he is a go-getter,” added Zuchu.
Few days later after Zuchu’s interview, Diamond Platnumz, during a red-carpet interview, maintained that Zuchu is a colleague and that they have a number of projects going. When asked about his relationship status, Diamond said he is seeing someone without disclosing any names.
“I am in a relationship and I am happy. My relationship has given me so much satisfaction. I love her so much and she knows it. Empty words without action do not mean anything. She sees my acts of love”.
