American television host, Ellen DeGeneres has just expanded her real estate portfolio as she is now the owner of a house in Beverly Hills.
According to real estate sources, the talk show host invested 8.5 million dollars in a five-bedroom, four-bathroom home. The location is 4,614 square feet and looks like a fixer-upper. However, the house which was built in 1961 looks outdated and has undergone at least one refurbishment.
The house also has a pool, fire pit, chef’s kitchen, and lush gardens and some rooms are heated in a firepot, according to close sources.
It is worth mentioning that Beverly Hills is known to house some top celebrities and so, it comes as no surprise that Ellen DeGeneres will have some famous neighbors. Among them are Adele and Cameron Diaz.
For Ellen, this is her second home purchase in a few months as it can be recalled that Ellen Invested 2.9 million dollars for a Santa Barbara’s two-bedroom house in June.
Well, Ellen DeGeneres doesn’t just flip houses, she buys, renovates, and sells them at a massive mark-up. Since 2003, the talk-show host has owned more than 20 properties with her wife, Portia de Rossi. But Ellen insists that their real estate ventures are driven by a passion for architecture and decorating.
DeGeneres said in a 2018 Today show interview: “We buy a house and we love it and we stay in it. Then we get a little bored because we like a different style or different aesthetic”.
