The Volta region ethnic tribe has often been misunderstood and negatively stereotyped for their beliefs and practices.
Mr. Logic passionately expressed his views on the stereotypes surrounding Ewes and their association with the ‘voodoo culture’.
However, the musical artist urged Ewes not to shy away from this cultural identity but rather embrace it with pride. He emphasized that possessing charm and traditional knowledge should be seen as a source of power and strength, not something to be ashamed of.
He said:
“Ewes shouldn’t be shy to admit that they possess charm. What is wrong with that? It is what makes them powerful. They have to be proud to be Voltarians. What will make me marry a Voltarian is the fact that she might have juju. I’ll be proud of it because they’ll say she is powerful. You should be proud of yourselves because you come from a powerful traditional background. We are flesh and blood and what happens in flesh and blood doesn’t even move Jesus”.
Mr. Logic
Mr. Logic encouraged the Ewe community to embrace their roots and heritage, reminding them that their traditions and beliefs are an essential part of their identity and should be celebrated rather than stigmatized.
During the discussion, the topic of Bishop Charles Agyinasare’s encounter with the Nogokpo shrine was also brought up. Mr. Logic pointed out that such deities typically conduct thorough research before passing judgment. He highlighted that in Bishop Agyinasare’s case, it was likely that he had not wronged the deity, which resulted in him being set free.
He established:
“Such deities usually conduct research when you bring issues before him. They don’t just go ahead and issue judgment. He hasn’t wronged the diety that’s why he has been set free. He should attempt doing wrong. For instance, he should try and sleep with someone’s wife and see” .

Mr. Logic on why individuals don’t require approval validation for their sexual desires
The Chairman of the Ghana Association of Songwriters, Mr Logic expressed that members do not need constant validation in the LGBTQ+ community.
Mr. Logic explained that they can practice their sexual preference in silence, without the constant need to be validated.
According to him, he does not understand why the gay community is constantly in the news seeking rights to practice their sexual desires.
He stated:
“These gay people, I will blame them, because why are they seeking validation? My problem with them is that they want rights, what are they doing with the rights? Do you need validation from me before you sleep with a man in your room? Do your thing in your room.
“That is where I find them stupid, we have sex in the room so if you prefer the pleasure of a man, why should someone give you a right? You have the right to do what you want with your body. They don’t need validation from anybody to practice their sexual pleasures with anybody. Gay people don’t even know what rights they have”.
Mr. Logic
To buttress his point, Mr. Logic further added:
“They don’t know what they’re doing. They don’t need validation to practice their sexual pleasures in their rooms. Practice it in the room, there are bigger men who practice sex through the back of their wives. Women are going through buttocks sex in their rooms, and their husbands even enjoy the pain their wives feel during sex”.
