Fredyma Advises Hammer on Okomfour Kwadee’s Controversy

Fredyma

Veteran music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah, popularly known as Fredyma, has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding Okomfour Kwadee, urging media personality Hammer Nti to allow the musician’s family, particularly his mother, to handle his affairs.

Fredyma emphasized that no one can love a child more than their own mother and suggested that Hammer Nti should respect the wishes of Kwadee’s family by stepping back from actively managing his recovery and career.

“Since Kwadee’s mother says she doesn’t want to see him around her son anymore, Hammer cannot be holier than the Pope or cry more than the bereaved. If something unfortunate happens to Kwadee while in his custody, those currently supporting him will be the same people to blame him.”

Fredyma

He advised Hammer Nti to focus on his own life while still supporting Okomfour Kwadee from a distance, warning that direct involvement could escalate tensions.

Fredyma’s comments follow a heated exchange, where Okomfour Kwadee’s mother accused Hammer Nti of using her son for performances rather than prioritizing his full recovery, which she believes worsens his condition.

Moreover, Okomfour Kwadee’s mother expressed discontent at Hammer Nti, following his constant display of what has been described as the ‘forceful’ adoption of her son.

She said if Hammer Nti does not stay away from her son, she and her family will take some serious actions.

“No matter how Kwadee insults me, he is still my son… Hammer is lying. He doesn’t love Kwadee like he is saying. If he doesn’t stay away from him, my family and I will wash our hands away from him.

“I remember telling Hammer that my family wants to speak to him, and he told me he doesn’t want to meet any of my family members. And he can’t dispute what I am saying. Hammer is rather destroying Kwadee. He doesn’t like his well-being.”

According to her, Hammer Nti only gets closer to the artist only when he is recovering from his sickness and not when he is at the peak of his sickness as he [Hammer Nti] claims.

The debate has divided entertainment industry players and fans, with some commending Hammer Nti’s efforts while others argue that Kwadee’s family should take full responsibility for his well-being.

Okomfour Kwadee’s long-standing health challenges have been a concern for years, with various industry figures offering support at different times. However, this latest controversy raises questions about the best way to ensure the musicians’ long-term welfare.

Renowned Ghanaian music engineer, Edward Nana Poku Osei, popularly known as Da’ Hammer, broke his silence on social media to address a growing misconception linking him to the ongoing controversy surrounding Okomfour Kwadee.

In a Facebook post, Da’ Hammer clarified that he is not the Hammer being referenced in the saga, urging the public to correct the misunderstanding.

He firmly stated that he has no involvement in the controversy or any dealings related to Okomfour Kwadee’s health. “The Hammer being named in the saga is our distinguished Kumasi-based industry colleague known as Hammer Nti,” he said.

Da’ Hammer revealed that he had been receiving numerous calls from concerned family and friends who mistook him for Hammer Nti.

“Over the past few days, I have received no fewer than fifty calls from concerned friends and family, some of whom expressed dismay at my presumed role in this saga, attributing to me a part of or brother’s declining condition. It is precisely this misunderstanding that has prompted me to speak out.”

Da’ Hammer’s clarification comes amidst the ongoing feud between media personality and former manager of Oomfour Kwadee, Hammer Nti and Kwadee’s family over the health of the musician.
