How Geeman ended in prison
GeeMan was a pop star compared to Michael Jackson because of his style and dance moves. He was handed a death sentence in Ghana in the early 90s after he shot and killed a Taxi Driver during a confrontation.
The confrontation was over the fare the Taxi Driver charged a lady who he drove to GeeMan’s house. It is said that they disagreed over the fare and after the Taxi Driver left, he returned to the house to gather sand from the footprint of GeeMan to spiritually harm him.
According to reports, that triggered GeeMan who also decided to go for his pistol to shoot him. He and the lady with a friend, Jaga Pee, who was with him were all arrested and tried. He was placed on death roll because, since the late 93, no president has given his approval to a death sentence, hence, serving a life sentence.
However, GeeMan finally gained freedom through a presidential pardon after serving fourteen years in jail. He was included in the list of people President Kufour granted pardon before leaving office. GeeMan relocated to the U.S and chose to do God’s work.

GeeMan calls for prison reform
Just recently, GeeMan, called for prison reforms in the nation, noting that some inmates are not supposed to be incarcerated.
GeeMan averred that there are several people in jail who do not have to be there. He explained that the prison is supposed to reform, however, many of the inmates after serving their sentence are released into society without being reformed.
”It means there’s something wrong with the system,” said GeeMan as he bemoaned the state of Ghana’s prisons and the inmates. “There are people in there who don’t have to be in there, and they are there”.
More so, he noted that the terrible structure of the nation’s “supposed” rehabilitation system is doing society more harm than good.
”Somebody smokes one joint of weed. When you are arrested, you are given 10 years. When you go into the prisons, they sell more weed in the prison, than outside. So how have you reformed that person?
”So, if the person does not reform in the prison, they come out worse than they went in. So, there is no convict who is the same. You either come out better or you come out bitter”.

Further speaking, GeeMan suggested that the inmates are equipped with technical skills before they come out.
”That is my desire that we would help to reform people and bring them out better”.
