Legendary Gospel musician Piesie Esther known in private life as Mrs. Esther Asiedu has registered her dislike of being referred to as an old musician.
The musician insists that there is nothing like an old musician because there is no retirement date for musicians especially somebody like her who is still active in the industry.
Piesie Esther made this known in an interview when asked if she feels hurt when people refer to her as an old musician.
The ‘Wa ye Me Yie’ hitmaker answering the question sharply replied saying:
“Of course, since we are humans, it will definitely hurt you”.

Piesie Esther has been in the music industry for more than two decades with tens of hit songs to her credit.
The gospel musician doubles as a songwriter, and composer and has been honored best motivational song in the 2009 Ceval Gospel Awards.
Due to her strong brand and consistency, she appeals to the corporate audience both locally and internationally and has over the years performed and ministered at many events.
She chairs The Piesie Foundation which engages in social responsibility activities with a special focus on the vulnerable in society.

I’m ready to perform with Shatta Wale

Renowned Gospel Musician Piesie Esther revealed her readiness to perform with self-acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale on any day.
According to the ‘Wa Ye Me Yie’ hitmaker, she finds nothing wrong with performing with Shatta Wale because she believes most fans of the SM boss are believers and will enjoy her as well.
Piesie Esther said in an interview:
“There is nothing wrong with me performing with Shatta Wale on the same platform. It’s not all the fans of Shatta Wale who are not believers in God. Most of his fans are believers”.

The singer further insisted that she will only perform Gospel music on such platforms and not secular musicians like Shatta Wale.
She added that it will serve as an opportunity for her to perform her hit song “Wa Ye Me Yie” to the millions of Shatta’s Fans if such an opportunity ever avails itself and she doesn’t think there is anything wrong with it, since, it’s her song she will be singing and there are people who might be in the fans who will want to listen to her song.

The Gospel Musician challenged self-styled Evangelist Mama Patricia known widely as Nana Agradaa to name Gospel musicians she alleged are into prostitution.
Piesie Esther is of the view that claims by Nana Agradaa are not true hence there is a need for her to explain further or render an unqualified apology to the musicians.
Piesie Esther threw the challenge in an interview when asked if she agrees with Evangelist Mama Pat’s assertion that some Gospel musicians are engaged in prostitution.
“I don’t know her reason for saying that, so I will be grateful if she comes out to give further explanation and if she has seen some people who are doing that”.
Piesie Esther
According to her, she has been singing for more than two decades and has never seen such an act among Gospel musicians.
Piesie Esther noted that there is too much hearsay in the country hence, people must stop judging others based on the unsupported allegations leveled by some faceless individuals.
