Kanayo Defends Davido Amid Backlash Over Economic Comment

Kanayo O. Kanayo and Davido

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has reacted to Davido’s statement about Nigeria’s poor economy.

The ‘Awuke’ crooner said that foreign investors should avoid Nigeria because the economy is in shambles and his statement got him several criticisms.

According to Kanayo, Davido spoke the truth and the leaders should do the needful instead of criticizing the singer.

He also shared how former president Olusegun Obasanjo said that he should be criticized and Kanayo believes it helps to keep the government in check.

“Nigerians make una leave Davido alone about the comment he made; it’s freedom of speech and he made it in good faith. It is left for those in power to work harder to give us a better Nigeria. We need to build a better Nigeria.

“Some people say he should apologize; apologize for what? He’s a Nigerian and he made his statement in good faith. Those who criticize us want the best out of us.”

The famous Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido, responded to recent criticism from Nigerians by showing his love for the country in his latest public appearance.

Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), Davido shared a photo of himself donning a green-and-white bandana, symbolizing the Nigerian flag, while flashing a confident smile.

The father of five accompanied the image with a message aimed at his critics, stating he was headed to an interview while proudly representing Nigeria.

“I Dey go do interview nw … fully representing . Say make I kuku put am for head,” he tweeted, playfully addressing those who accused him of not fully embracing his Nigerian identity in previous statements.

The post comes after Davido faced backlash over comments made during a recent interview about Africa’s economic struggles.

Also might be the first Nigerian artist to import Electric cars into the country.

This news was confirmed by his best friend, Cubana Chiefpriest, who went online to share an exciting post about Electric cars.

For context, an electric vehicle (EV) is a car that runs on electricity, using an electric motor to propel it, with electrical energy as its main power source.

This has revolutionized the future of the auto industry, and having Davido be a part of it is not just a win for him but one for all.

“E Get Why We Dey Call Am GOAT🐐 @davido E Get As This December Wan Be. Electric⚡️ Money, We Go Turn This Lagos Upside Down, Sheee Dem Get 💸 ?”
