Ghanaian Afro-Beatz singer, Kelvynboy has asked his fans not to hate another artiste just because he’s their favorite.
This follows so many instances where a particular artiste’s fanbase insults and throws jabs at another artiste who is not their favorite.
Taking to his Instagram page, the ‘Mea’ crooner posted a picture of himself and stated that he’s all about peace and doesn’t want to be included in things that will bring about enmity or a fight. Sharing his picture on the picture-video sharing app, he wrote: “If making me your favorite artist is gonna [going to] make you hate another artist, then DON’T. Peace and Chills”.
Several social media users and fans are in total support of his view after sighting his post. Some said he was only stating facts and that they support his agenda of promoting peace. Some replies to his post read:
Kelvynboy’s music career catapults after beef with Stonebwoy
It can be recalled that in 2019, Kelvynboy and his former mentor, Stonebwoy, were reported to have had misunderstandings that led to a break-up.
In a recent interview, Kelvynboy disclosed that this had a positive spin on him. Contrary to reports that his issues with his former boss Stonebwoy affected him negatively, Kelvynboy intimated that it rather catapulted his career. The ‘Ginger’ crooner stated that his altercation with Stonebwoy increased his popularity and created opportunities for him.
Responding to a question that there are some speculations that his album failed to gain the maximum attention due to his issues with his former boss. He said: “When the separation and ‘beef’ happened; it is what blew me up. It’s when I got money and when I saw money, and people wanted to see me. That’s what made me Kelvynboy. It affected me positively but maybe not in their minds. Because people will always get the wrong perception of people. Keep that perception, I’m cool.”
Asked about his current relationship with Stonebwoy, Kelvyn Boy stated that he prefers to keep the status of their relationship as private. He further mentioned that whatever he feels for his former mentor is in his heart. Therefore “it doesn’t really matter now”.
“If I love Stonebwoy, it should still be in my heart. If he loves me it should still be in my heart. I would rather it stays in my heart that’s why I cleaned the tattoo.”
Kelvynboy apologizes to Stonebwoy
Meanwhile, a few months after the misunderstanding, Kelvynbwoy rendered an unqualified apology to Stonebwoy for disrespecting him publicly. He was seen in a video, expressing his remorse during his performance in Italy.
In the video, Kelvyn Boy said: “Please help me plead with Stonebwoy for forgiveness. Everyone that knows Stonebwoy, please help me tell him I am sorry”.
