Kumi Guitar’s controversial ‘Sex’ song
It can be recalled that the singer dropped a song titled ‘Sex’ back in October last year. The song which has been making waves across the country and beyond came with some controversies due to its title.
However, the musician revealed that the song is a piece of advice against sexual promiscuity. He noted that his song ‘sex’ is aimed at educating males especially on the need to ensure decency in terms of avoiding sexual promiscuity. He remarked, “when a guy says he is a virgin, you will see people laughing and making a mockery of that guy. So, my song was to tell the guys that we also need to leave a decent life”.
Kumi Guitar also emphasized the need for parents and guardians to make frantic efforts to advise their children more importantly the male child to abstain from all sexually related activities till marriage just like the females are advised.
“My target is those young ones coming up. If you have a male child, you need to let him know while growing up. They can be decent and avoid sexual promiscuousness just like our female children are told to do. This will even help them concentrate more on other important aspects of their lives like education”.

It is worth noting that the song was nominated for the just ended 3Music awards. It was for the ‘Highlife music of the year’ category. However, it didn’t win the award, as Stoneboy’s ‘Sobolo’ bagged the award.
