Renowned Ghanaian musician, Kwabena Kwabena has revealed that his latest album is a fulfilment of a long-standing promise he made to God.
The highlife singer shared the emotional journey behind his seventh studio album, which he dedicated entirely to his faith and gratitude to God.
According to Kwabena Kwabena, after the release of his debut album, he faced numerous challenges that made it difficult to record a second one.
At one point, he felt hopeless about continuing his music career. However, after overcoming those struggles, he made a personal vow to God.
“I told God that if He helped me record up to six albums, I would dedicate my seventh album entirely to Him as a way of showing gratitude.”

He drew inspiration from the biblical account of creation, where God rested on the seventh day after creating the universe.
True to his word, after successfully releasing six albums, the Highlife artist embarked on recording his seventh studio album with the sole purpose of honouring his maker.
He expressed joy at being able to fulfil his promise, emphasising how deeply meaningful this project is to him. “You did good; you did good. I’m happy I’ve been able to fulfil it,” he said, reflecting on the journey.

Ghanaian Highlife artiste, George Kwabena Adu, professionally known as Kwabena Kwabena, expressed gratitude to Edward Nana Poku Osei, popularly known as Hammer, one of the producers who played a significant role in shaping his career.
The highlife star reflected on his early days in the industry and the impact Hammer had on his journey to becoming a mainstream artist.
Recounting their first meeting in 2001, he described Hammer as a mentor who gave him his first real studio experience when he was still an underground artist.
“He actually gave me the opportunity to have that studio experience, to understand what it feels like to be in a professional recording space. Hammer contributed a lot to my growth as a mainstream artist, and for that, he is very special to me.”

Kwabena Kwabena’s first choice was Ghana’s first President, Kwame Nkrumah, also known as Gome Koma.
“He’s so wise; he could see ten years or a hundred years ahead. He planned Ghana, seeing the future of Ghana.”
