Embattled Nigerian music star, Paul Okoye, also known as Rude Boy who is one of the defunct Psquare duo has asked that the public stop meddling in their family affairs so that they can have peace.

In a recent interview, Rude Boy disclosed that it’s unfortunate that their family problem which was made public led to the end of the erstwhile music group, PSquare.

The ‘Emergency’ crooner noted that it is for this reason he has promised not to talk about his family problems in the media as he hates seeing their dirty linens in the media.

“Like I always tell people, it is so unfortunate that family problem which I think is nobody’s business to know, but it’s so unfortunate that Psquare has to pay the price for it.

“One thing I promise myself not to do, let the Okoye family just have the peace that I think they are having now. I hate waking up anytime and just see people saying things you know. Whatever that happened is just a thing of choice, and one thing you need to do is to try and respect people’s privacy”.

Further speaking, Rude Boy mentioned that he wished someone in particular in his family could resist themselves from divulging information on their family discord to the media and general public.

“I am a family man and sometimes when I see issues and it goes to the media, I will be like I wish one person can just zip it. Do you know why? People will get tired but you see when you talk, you know people will not forget that”.

Ever since the music duo’s separated, there have been concerns raised about how their fanbase is going to be divided. Speaking on this issue Paul said: “I always tell people, I am doing this because I know the fans are divided but if you guys understand one thing, if you guys can just concentrate on just enjoying music, then you will know who to really support.”

Paul ‘Rude Boy’ and Peter ‘Mr. P’ Okoye parted ways as PSquare over family discord that also involved their elder brother and former manager, Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye. The duo of Peter and Paul disbanded PSquare in 2016, supposedly over a disagreement about the role of their manager.

Meanwhile, Paul Okoye is currently in the midst of a divorce. He refused to make any comments with regards to the divorce and only noted that “it will be for another time”.

The 7-year old marriage of Paul Okoye, of the erstwhile music duo P Square popularly known as Rude Boy, and his entrepreneur wife, Anita Okoye has crashed as the latter has filed a petition for a divorce.

It can be recalled that the Vaultz Media reported that Paul Okoye became a trend a few days ago after his wife of seven years, Anita Okoye filed for divorce, despite having three kids for him.

According to some reports, Anita Okoye wants 7.8 million Naira monthly as spousal support as she seeks to dissolve their 7-year-old marriage.

According to the court document filed before an Abuja High Court, “Payment of a monthly maintenance sum of $15,000.00 (US Dollars) for the general welfare, education, and health of the three children of the union, who are presently in schools in the United States of America until they are of age”.
