Ghanaian musician, Mr. Drew has expressed his desire to collaborate with American artist Chris Brown.
Mr. Drew stated that a collaboration with Chris Brown would be “lovely” and would create a “crazy” performance.
He said this when he was asked who he would love to collaborate with.
“I think it’s quite obvious – Chris Brown! Breezyyy! Imagine Drew and Breezy on stage top – it will be crazy! That would be lovely.”

When asked if Mr. Drew had already created a song for the potential collaboration, the artist replied that he wanted to create content with Chris Brown in the studio, rather than just send over a song.
“No, that one we for create am for the studio, so sey inside all we dey create content. I don’t want the song sent over, I want content with him. That alone is a hit, I’ll shoot and post. Like, ego be massive for here.”

He acknowledged that it would require financial resources and connections to make the dream a reality. “Chale, that side ebi money, we go reach there, ibi money and connect, yeah,” he said.
“We for dey some level, we dey on our way dey go there, sooner or later. The rope, you for pull with money and connections. Everything has to be right.”

A lot of people have likened Mr. Drew’s craft to Chris Brown’s, especially because they both sing and dance.

The Ghanaian musician revealed the challenges and inspiration behind his iconic bald look.
He disclosed that having a bald head isn’t without challenges.
The musician shared that he has to be mindful of the sun: “We can’t really walk in the sun because ego really blaze the brain, yeah man,” he said in Pidgin English.
Due to this, he said he avoids video shoots during the day.
“I don’t like shoots during the day, I remember like if we get shoots during the day ano like am. Chale, edey make my head dey ache. Coz the sun shines directly, edey cool your brain. Chale, ano fit.”

On a lighter note, the singer and dancer talked about the benefits of having a bald head.
“Bald cut – easy going. Barbers no dey chop my money coz me naa Adey shave my head. If you go chop my money, ebe sake of my beard.”

Asked about his inspiration, the musician explained that he “wanted something that would stand out” in the music industry.
Mr. Drew’s bold decision to rock a bald head is a deliberate move to carve out his unique identity as a young musician in an industry dominated by dreadlocks and other hairstyles.
Interestingly, his bald look isn’t a result of hair loss, but rather a personal choice – he regularly shaves his head and can grow his hair back at will.

The musician is unhappy he lost the Collaboration of the Year award to KiDi in last year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
According to the artist, he felt cheated.
“I felt like I had to win. I felt the song had to win chale, the numbers, and then we dey perform the tunes for everywhere, for every corner, people dey sing the song.”

Despite his initial disappointment, the singer and dancer emphasized that the loss did not affect his relationship with KiDi.
“I don’t think so. No, we always meet, we just talk, yeah. Me and KiDi are cool. We never took it personally at any point in time. But he’s my brother, we’re cool.”

Mr. Drew’s ‘Case Remix’ featuring Mophty lost out to ‘Likor’ by KiDi featuring Stonebwoy in the Collaboration of the Year category.
Other nominees were ‘Lonely Road’ by O’Kenneth, Xlimkid, and Twatis by Oseikrom Sikani featuring. Kweku Smoke, and ‘Kwaku Ananse Remix’ by Amerado featuring Fameye.
The rest include ‘Y’ahitte Remix’ by King Paluta featuring Kuami Eugene, ‘You Dey Feel The Vibe’ by FRA featuring Nana Yaw Ofori Atta, and ‘My Darling’ Akwaboah featuring Kwabena Kwabena.
Looking ahead to this year’s TGMA, Mr. Drew revealed that he has filed for nominations in two categories.
“Yes, I have, Afrobeats Artiste of the Year, Afrobeats Song of the Year. Those are the ones I’m looking at.”
