Entertainment pundit, Mr Logic has berated Medikal for announcing that he is single on stage at his live event in the United Kingdom
According to him, it sounded like an insult or a way to tease his now-baby mama, Fella Makafui.
“I like Medikal. He is my guy and I like everything about him. What I didn’t like was the fact that he announced that he was single on stage. I wish he didn’t say that. I feel like it was an insult or a tease to his wife Fella back home. We cannot tell if they are divorced. But to announce it on a big stage like this means it is serious.
“But because of the dynamics of marriage, I think that he should not have made the announcement. People marry and divorce and after ten years they sort their issues out and come back so I feel like it wasn’t that important to have made that announcement.”

Medikal while performing on May 3, 2024, announced that he is single and ready for a woman who wants him.
He indicated that his only challenge is that he has a kid so if the woman is comfortable, she can approach him.
The event was a major success, featuring performances with top artists like Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Malcolm Nuna, and Jay Bhad.
The event took an unexpected turn when Medikal performed with his ex, Sister Derby. Among the songs they performed was her diss track aimed at him and his estranged wife, Fella Makafui.
This performance ignited debates on social media, particularly because it followed Medikal’s recent announcement of his separation from Fella Makafui.
Mr Logic criticized the performance of Sister Derby at the event.
He suggested that Medikal taking her [Sister Derby] to the stage should not have occurred, especially considering the recent news of Medikal’s supposed split from his wife.
“I also wasn’t comfortable with Sister Derby’s performance; she’s his ex, and the whole situation felt like she had taken advantage of the opportunity to grab Medikal back and hurt Fella. She took advantage of the situation; she is his ex, and I think she is happy now that Medikal and his wife have supposedly split.
“Among all the artists there, Sister Derby shouldn’t have performed because the split was too fresh for the two of them to be together.”

Arnold Applauds Medikal
However, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo applauded Medikal for bringing Sister Derby to perform at the 02 Indigo event.
According to him, he sees nothing wrong with the performance.
“They performed on that stage. ‘Too Risky’ was one of the biggest songs released. That song made Medikal get seven nominations which he didn’t win, and if he’s supposed to perform at 02 and perform his biggest catalogue of songs. So if his team meets and decides that they need to perform that song, it is in the right direction.
“I will applaud Medikal on the decision to allow Sister Derby to perform on that big stage. If you organize such a big show, you need a highlight of the show. What he did was a smart move because he did not kill anyone. There is no bad blood between them. It does not make sense to say there is a problem because he performed with his ex.”

Moreover, Arnold cited an example with two American singers and stated that no one should be emotional about the performance between Medikal and Sister Derby.
“Forget the timing argument. Rihanna and Chris Brown had their problems but when they solved their issues they mounted the stage. So let’s not be emotional about this thing at all. The point is he didn’t go there for moral studies, he went there to produce a show and there is nothing wrong with the performance.”
