It appears that Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa did not only come to Ghana to explore the country and make friends but to also engage in dialogues that could see the possible strengthening of the relationship between Ghana and the diaspora. In view of this, the rapper met with President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House. He visited the seat of government with his friend and colleague, Vic Mensa.
The purpose of their meeting, according to the managers of Beyond the Return’s Instagram page, was to discuss an idea that could aid in bridging the gap between artistes in Ghana and the U.S.
Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa hoped to use their strong ties and relationships in the music industry to connect artistes as well as amplify the talent in Ghana and the rest of Africa.
It is worth mentioning that also present at the meeting was YouTube creator and TEDx Speaker, Ivy Prosper and some members from the Beyond The Return team.

Chance The Rapper to return to Ghana in July with ‘big group’
The Grammy award-winning artist, Chance The Rapper is expected to travel back to Ghana in July, 2022.
In an announcement posted on Twitter, he revealed that he hopes to make it back into the country not alone but with a big group of people.
Chance the Rapper promised that persons interested in coming along with him to Ghana would feel at home.
“Ghana will celebrate its 65th year since it FOUGHT and gained its independence. I wanna go back in a big group in July. I promise you’ll feel at home“.

The announcement was accompanied by a video compilation the rapper seemed to have done during his time here.
Some things captured in the video includes his travels, hikes, interaction with some locals, the Black Star Square and others.
Since arriving in the country, the award-winning musician has been spotted at numerous sites and events. Chance The Rapper visited the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, The Freedom Skatepark inspired by the late Virgil Abloh among other interesting places. One of his activities that got the country talking was his visit to a church on Sunday (January 9) morning. According to a post on Instagram, the church where he worshipped was built by his family years ago. He also revealed that his family has built a school in Jamestown.
Also, he linked up with many musicians including Darkovibes, King Promise and M.anifest. Chance The Rapper and Sarkodie also met. Sarkodie honored Chance The Rapper’s request to meet him when the latter in a tweet said he was dying to meet Sarkodie. The tweet read: “I’ve done everything in Ghana except meet @sarkodie.”
In a video that was trending on Instagram, the duo was seen on a top floor of a building chatting and posing for photos. They were also spotted in a studio and several people suggested they might be collaborating on a new song.
