Rihanna Emerges As America’s Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Woman Worth $1.4 Billion

Rihanna

Barbadian singer, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, popularly known as Rihanna has emerged the youngest self-made billionaire woman in the United States having a worth of $1.4 billion.

The 34-year-old singer and Fenty Beauty CEO graced Forbes’ annual list of America’s richest self-made women for the third year in a row.

She ranked 21st overall, and is the list’s only billionaire under age 40. Some of Rihanna’s $1.4 billion net worth is from her successful music career. Most of it is from her three retail companies: Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Savage X Fenty.

In March, Bloomberg reported Savage X Fenty lingerie was working with advisors on an IPO that could potentially be valued at $3 billion. Rihanna owns 30% of that company.

She also owns half of Fenty Beauty, which generated $550 million in revenue in 2020. The other half of the company is owned by French luxury fashion conglomerate LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton).

The numbers are impressive, but Rihanna has said that her focus is not on valuations and accolades.

In 2019, she noted that because she never planned on making a fortune, reaching financial milestones was “not going to stop me from working”. The nine-time Grammy Award winner also said she wants to give that money away to causes that matter.

“My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else,” she said. “The world can really make you believe that the wrong things are priority, and it makes you really miss the core of life, what it means to be alive.”

In 2012, Rihanna started a philanthropy fund, the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF). It aims to “support and fund groundbreaking education and climate resilience initiatives,” according to its website.

Rihanna Makes 1st Public Appearance Alongside A$AP Rocky Since Giving Birth

Recently, Rihanna made her first public appearance after giving birth to her and A$AP Rocky’s baby boy.

The ‘Pon De Replay’ hitmaker stepped out at the ‘Wireless’ Festival in London on Friday, July 1. During the rare outing, the Fenty Beauty founder wore a chic oversized black Prada puffer jacket and complimented the all-black look with a chunky silver necklace.

Earlier in the day, the pair were spotted by fans at a barber shop in the Crystal Palace neighborhood in London.

The public outing comes almost two months after Rihanna and A$AP, welcomed their first child together in Los Angeles on May 13, 2022. While the Barbados artist and Brooklyn native are still new parents, the pair are very much “settling into parenthood,” a source disclosed.

“Rihanna and A$AP’s little boy is adorable. Not many people have met their bundle of joy yet, but they’ve sent photographs and have excitedly FaceTimed friends with him,” the insider continued. “He’s a cross between the two of them and is absolutely tiny. In some lights, he looks like A$AP and in others, Rihanna. He has got Rihanna’s eyes!”

As for his name, the source adds that the couple will share it “when they feel ready.”

Prior to their son’s arrival, Rihanna was very tight-lipped about her pregnancy and her new addition was revealed when she was photographed while out and about in New York. In the series of photos, the songstress wore a vintage pink Chanel pink puffer coat and had it unbuttoned mid-chest to show off her bare baby bump.

The Ocean’s Eight actress later confirmed her pregnancy via Instagram. “How the gang pulled up to Black History Month,” she wrote in February 2022.
