The wife of Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu-Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, Tracy Owusu-Addo has reacted to the news of the death of her husband’s lawyer Cynthia Quarcoo.
The death of the prominent lawyer was announced on Wednesday evening, June 21, 2022, across several social media platforms.
Tracy’s reaction was posted on Twitter with a photo of the late lawyer Cynthia Quarcoo with Sarkodie and his daughter.
The tweet accompanied by emoji expresses how emotionally broken she was upon hearing about the death of her husband’s lawyer.
Beyond her legal career, Cynthia Quarcoo was a respected figure in the entertainment industry.
She was a lawyer for Sarkodie and other artists like Samini and Reggie Rockstone.
Cynthia Quarcoo founded Africa 1 Media, a renowned talent management and public relations firm that collaborated with various Ghanaian musicians.
She selflessly dedicated two years as a pro bono legal advisor to the Musicians Union of Ghana, offering her guidance to artists such as Sarkodie, Rocky Dawuni, Stonebwoy, Edem, Stephanie Benson, Reggie Rockstone, Bisa Kdei, and Samini, among others.
Cynthia Quarcoo’s impact extended beyond her client representation. She made history in Ghana by establishing the first dedicated Entertainment, Sports, and Media Practice within her law firm.

Also, Tracy spoke a day after the news went viral about her husband Sarkodie impregnating Yvonne Nelson in 2010.
However, netizens were expecting that she divorces her husband, rapper Sarkodie, but her post did not speak about the content of the book rather it was about giving opportunities to refugees.
In a video, she shared on her LinkedIn page, Tracey Owusu Addo spoke about a nurse who is a refugee but was given the opportunity and has since been helping to save lives in Ghana.
Sarkodie’s lawyer, Cynthia Quarcoo is dead

Cynthia Quarcoo, the prominent lawyer representing Ghanaian musician Sarkodie, is no longer among the living.
She was an experienced corporate and finance lawyer and the founder and Managing Partner of CQ Legal and Consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Business Law, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, and an LLM in Corporate Commercial Law.
Cynthia was a Barrister of England and Wales and a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Cynthia’s legal experience spans both Ghana and the United Kingdom, having worked as a Senior Associate in the Banking and Finance Practice of the International law firm, Fasken Martineau LLP in London.
She also served as a Consultant Senior Lawyer in the International Finance and Corporate Department of Radix Legal and Consulting in London. Cynthia has also had stints with an auditing firm, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, where she worked as an analyst.
The lawyer contributed to the World Bank’s flagship “Doing Business Project” (2007-2017), Investment Guide to Sub-Saharan Africa: ‘What Chinese Investors Need to Know’ 2011 as well as the International Trade Center, Model Contracts for Small Firms: Legal Guidance for Doing International Business 2010.
With her untimely demise, Cynthia Quarcoo leaves behind a void in both the legal and entertainment communities. Her legacy will be remembered as an innovator, a dedicated advocate, and a significant contributor to the industries she served with passion and dedication.
Known for her legal expertise and appearances on Ghanaian TV and radio stations, Cynthia’s cause of death has not been disclosed, although reports indicate that she had been battling an illness for some time before her passing.
