Media personality Solomon Buchi has educated a Twitter user who expressed curiosity about the perceived significance of marrying a virgin.
Solomon Buchi responded by asserting that virgins have the lowest divorce rates, citing a 65% probability of having a happy marriage for women who married as virgins.
Solomon Buchi went on to share insights from the Institute for Family Studies, claiming that non-virgins are more likely to experience issues such as low self-esteem, academic failure, and poor relationship decisions.
According to his findings, most sexual problems in marriages stem from past sexual experiences.
The media personality countered the tweep’s apparent doubt, advising him to refrain from ridiculing virtue and implying that those who lack it may not fully understand its value.
Solomon Buchi shared statistics supporting his argument, stating that 71% of men who had only slept with their spouse reported satisfaction with their marriage. In comparison, 64% of women who had only had sex with their spouse claimed happiness in their marriage.
In contrast, women with 6 to 10 sexual partners were reportedly 13% less likely to report marital happiness.
Men with more than 21 partners were 15% less likely to express marital satisfaction.
In his words;
“Virgins have the lowest divorce rates. Women who married as virgins have a 65% chance of having a very happy marriage than their non-virgin counterparts. When it comes to sex, less experience is better, at least for the marriage, – institute for family studies. 71% of men who have only slept with their spouse reported satisfaction with their marriage, while 64% of women who’ve only had sex with their spouse say they’re happy in their marriage.
“Women who’ve had 6 to 10 sexual partners were 13 percent less likely to report marital happiness. For men who have slept with more than 21 partners, they were 15 percent less likely to say they were satisfied with their marriage. Non-virgins are projected to suffer more economic lack, low self-esteem, academic failure, and bad relationship choices.”

He stated that virginity proves discipline and focus and asked people to stop trying to ridicule virtue because they lack it.
“In this pornographic world, virginity is a proof of discipline and focus. If anyone should be embarrassed, it should be the other party that revels in sexual promiscuity. There’s nothing shameful about marrying on a clean slate. Most sexual problems in marriage stem from past sexual experiences,” he said.
“Lastly, even if there was no benefit of virginity, we ought to stay virginity till marriage because God commanded it. God is wise, I’d rather follow Him than follow the bandwagon. Stop trying to ridicule virtue just because you lack it,” Solomon Buchi further noted.
Challenging The Stance On Marrying Virgins
Popular actress Sarah Martins reacted to Solomon Buchi’s claim that individuals who enter into marriage as virgins tend to experience longer-lasting unions.
Solomon Buchi had previously contended on Twitter that statistical evidence supports the idea that those who are less sexually active and maintain monogamous relationships find greater satisfaction in their marriages, thus reducing the likelihood of divorce.
Sarah Martins, however, responded to Solomon Buchi’s claims by sharing her personal experience.
She disclosed that she married as a virgin at the age of 19 but emphasized that this did not shield her from making the difficult decision to leave when her health was at stake.
Despite being a loyal, submissive, and hardworking wife during her marriage, Sarah Martins believes that being a virgin does not guarantee a lasting marriage.
“I am still a loyal, submissive, respectful, hardworking woman. Getting married as a virgin will never stop you from getting a divorce if the need arises.. if it is not good for your health quit!” Sarah Martins said in part.
