Stonebwoy has been on a hot streak in the run-up to the tour announcement. He released the UP & RUNNIN6 album globally in stores on October 24.
The album includes early chart-topping global smashes “JEJEREJE” featuring Amsterdam’s record producer Ginton, “EKELEBE” featuring Nigerian rap sensation ODUMODUBLVCK, and “PRAY FOR ME” featuring multi-Grammy-winning Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean, and “YOUR BODY,” all of which have accumulated millions of streams and dominated radio airplay on notable music networks.
UP & RUNNIN6 is a “welcome return to the BET award-winning and GRAMMY-nominated composer’s roots after much sonic exploration.” This full-length collection showcases his signature Afro-Caribbean sound while blending Afrobeat, Dancehall, Reggae, Highlife, Amapiano, and R&B across 13 tracks.
This project highlights his versatility and commanding vocal presence, delving into themes of introspection, romance, spirituality, and empowerment, a collage of intensity, highs and lows, and ebbs and flows, as evident in songs like “PSALM 23,” “BETTA TIN,” “SHINE,” “LOVELY WEATHER,” “GEOGRAPHY,” “PRAY FOR ME” and “FVCK UP SUMMER.”
Last week, Stonebwoy welcomed Jamaican Dancehall star Spice to Ghana for the official video shoot of “JIGGLE & WHINE,” a standout single from the new album.
Artist Boasts of Achievement
Stonebwoy tooted his horn concerning his BHIM concert held in 2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The dancehall artist stated that no other artist in his class has achieved such a feat without sponsorship.
“The stadium was full to capacity. The production was from my pocket. I know the amount of dollars that I spent to fill that capacity. No artist in my class has done that yet. The 40,000-seater capacity was filled to 50,000 plus.”

He further noted the absence of sponsors on stage, highlighting that the event was done without sponsorship and was a personal investment he made.
Stonebwoy expressed his belief that artists like himself need to speak out about their achievements and contributions to the industry.
“It’s some of us who have to be speaking. It’s just because we don’t like to speak. We’ve left it for some people who feel like they are in the industry and they are personal and I’m speaking from my heart.”
