Popular music band, The Kentos Band in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched a new song, ‘Osey’ to rally support for the Black Stars at this year’s World Cup competition scheduled to start on Sunday, November 20 in Qatar.
The launch had former Black Star players including John Paintsil, Sulley Muntari, John Mensah, Stephen Appiah, Derek Boateng, Laryea Kingston, Joseph Paintsil, and John Mensah.
Also, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustafa Yussif, Media personality, Bola Ray, William Asare, South Africa High Commissioner, Madam Grace Janet Mason, and a host of renowned personalities attended the launch.
The Kentos Band is known for its electrifying live performances. “Osey” was written and arranged by the Kentos Band and the song is simple but has a catchy melody expected to remain on the lips of Ghanaians to cheer the Black Stars at the World Cup.
The song comes with a colorful and captivating video and features former Black Stars players like Asamoah Gyan, Laryea Kingston, John Paintsil, and Derrick Boateng.
According to the band, the support from Torrid Global Limited reflects the organization’s commitment to corporate social activities that contribute to national unity and patriotism. The contribution of the former Black Stars is a strong factor that is aimed at supporting the team they used to play for.
Kentos Band believes that “Osey” would be the sound to cheer the stars on in this World Cup season. The uniqueness of the composition of Osey will catch on quickly with fans across the country and the band also wishes the Stars the very best in the tournament and hopes that this will be the season they will bring the trophy home.
Otto Addo releases Black Stars
Coach Otto Addo has released the Black Stars’ man squad for Qatar 2022 World Cup. The 2022 World Cup tournament is fast approaching and all participating countries are expected to make known their squad for the upcoming competition.
The National team Coaches have made their own selections and strategically chosen their 26-man squad to represent their countries in Qatar this November.
Ghana is one of the participating countries, and after what seems like a long wait, Coach Otto Addo has also finally released the names of the final set of players to represent Ghana in this important international contest.
The table contents for the contest are in summary 3 Goalkeepers, 9 Defenders, 6 Midfielders, and 8 Attackers or Strikers which are the Ghana National Team going for the World Cup tournament.
