Grammy-winning superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has set the internet buzzing with the official release of the tracklist for his much-anticipated album, “Morayo”.
Wizkid took to his verified X account (formerly Twitter) to tease fans, tweeting simply: “Tracklist 7 pm Naija time.”
Fans didn’t have to wait long before the star delivered on his promise, sharing the 16-track lineup of “Morayo” on his social media platforms.
In the tracklist, the singer features artists like Asake, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, Anaïs, and Tiakola.
The album comprises 16 tracks including, ‘Troubled Mind’, ‘Karamo’, ‘Kese (Dance)’, ‘Bad Girl’, ‘Time’, ‘Piece of My Heart’, ‘Break Me Down’, ‘Bend’, and ‘A Million Blessings’.
Others are ‘Après Minuit’, ‘Bad for You’, ‘Soji’, ‘Don’t Care’, ‘Slow’, ‘Lose’, and ‘Pray’.
Wizkid already released ‘Kese Dance’ and ‘Piece of My Heart’, a collaborative project with an American singer-songwriter, Brent Faiyaz.
The standout moment is the collaboration with Asake on “Bad Girl,” blending Wizkid’s signature Afrobeat sound with Asake’s vibrant energy. Other international features include Jazmine Sullivan, Tiakola, and Anaïs, promising a rich, global musical experience.
A few people were concerned after they didn’t see music artist, Odumodublvck on the tracklist. They asked questions and were eager to know why the rapper was not featured in the album.
“Morayo” comes as a deeply personal project for Wizkid, reflecting a period of mourning and transformation following the loss of his mother.
The album’s emotional depth is expected to resonate with fans, offering an intimate glimpse into the superstar’s life and experiences during this reflective time.
In addition to the album reveal, Wizkid has been actively engaging with fans through social media and exclusive events.
A recent listening party in London generated buzz, with attendees praising the album’s innovative production and heartfelt themes. The event also amplified anticipation for the release, solidifying “Morayo” as one of the most awaited albums of 2024.
Fans and music critics alike are eager to see how Wizkid weaves his journey into the album, particularly as it comes on the heels of his widely acclaimed 2022 project, “More Love, Less Ego.”

Wizkid Reacts After Appearance of Song
Wizkid reacted after his newly released single, “Kese” (Dance) which disappeared from Apple Music’s Top 100 chart, on Monday, November 18, 2024, resurfaced nearly seven hours later.
The sudden disappearance sparked conjecture about the reason behind the removal. Industry insiders suggest that Apple Music’s strict policies against streaming manipulation may have triggered the temporary takedown.
This would mean that the song’s streams were withdrawn before its return to the chart. However, some attribute the brief absence to a technical glitch on Apple Music’s end.
Despite the unsureness surrounding the incident, one thing is clear: “Dance” retained enough organic streams to reclaim its top spot upon its return.
This dramatic turn of situations has intensified anticipation for Wizkid’s upcoming album, “Morayo”.
After it resurfaced, charting at No. 1, Wizkid took to the X platform to react. He wrote; “lol this one no be ebuka o 😂🦅 kese jor!”
Some fans have attributed Wizkid’s reaction as a subtle shade at Davido because of the use of ‘Ebuka’, in his recently released song ‘Awuke’.
