Yaw Sarpong’s Children Exposed for Misappropriating Father’s Care Funds

Yaw Sarpong and Prophet J.Y. Adu

Prophet J.Y. Adu of the New Jerusalem Chapel in Kumasi has shared details about how the children of gospel musician Yaw Sarpong, who is facing health challenges, misappropriated funds intended for their father’s care.

He recounted that upon Yaw Sarpong’s arrival at his residence for medical attention, Sarpong was unable to communicate and was thus kept from speaking to others.

The prophet revealed that Maame Tiwaa, a friend of Yaw Sarpong, was informed by a policeman, who also claimed friendship with the artist, about transferring GH¢100,000 to Sarpong’s mobile money account.

J.Y. Adu described the policeman’s astonishment upon learning that the children had not returned the alleged total of GH¢60,000 to their sick father, despite his reprimand for their actions.

“We ensured he rested extensively, and due to his inability to speak, we were unaware that his mobile money phone was in the children’s possession. Yaw has a police friend who was depositing GH¢100,000 into his account monthly for his personal expenses. During this time, the children were withdrawing and using the money for themselves.

“The policeman questioned Tiwaa about the lack of gratitude after he had sent GH¢100,000 consistently for six months to aid Sarpong. Upon learning that the children had the phone, the officer reprimanded them. Consequently, the policeman procured a new SIM card for Sarpong and transferred the funds through that number.”

This revelation raised questions about the lack of support from Yaw Sarpong’s children during his illness.

Prophet J.Y. Adu clarified that Yaw Sarpong is under his care because his illness is believed to be spiritual rather than medical, with doctors unable to successfully treat the condition.

Prophet J.Y. Adu disclosed that Yaw Sarpong’s children appropriated a car intended for their father for their mother’s use.

He revealed that Nana Kobo had purchased a car for Yaw Sarpong to use for musical events and travel after his car was damaged in an accident.

“A physician friend conducted a medical examination on him and recommended occasional medical check-ups. Tiwaa accompanies him [Yaw Sapong] to the hospital. After Sarpong’s car was wrecked, they used taxis for musical concerts.

“Nana Kobo then bought a car for Yaw and Tiwaa to use for concerts, but the children gave it to their mother, who used it for funerals and errands, leaving them to use taxis for hospital visits.”

Bishop JY Adu’s comment about Yaw Sarpong’s sons drew reactions from netizens who thronged the comment section.

“Tiwaa’s children are all abroad and the wife’s children are all in Ghana. Pastor let God be the judge.”

“Is not Yaw Sarpong who sent Tiwaa’s son to Germany but Tiwaa’s ex-husband.”

Bishop Ajagurajah and Yaw Sarpong

Bishop Ajagurajah also shared his two cents on the trending story involving Yaw Sarpong, his estranged wife, and children.

Speaking in a self-made video, Bishop Ajagurajah submitted that the sons of Yaw Sarpong are only interested in properties and not their father’s well-being.

According to Bishop Ajagurajah, he finds it very wild that the sons of the gospel veteran are much concerned about completing a house knowing well that their father is seriously sick.

As stated by the man of God, children will always choose their mothers over their fathers hence he’s not surprised about Yaw Sarpong’s sons’ decision to ignore their sick father to pursue properties.

Bishop Ajagurajah recounted how his child chose his wife over him despite showing immense love as a loving father.
