Nollywood actor and minister, Yul Edochie has made a bold statement about his spiritual beliefs, declaring himself a “hardcore traditionalist.”
The controversial actor made the declaration in an Instagram post on January 29, 2025.
Calling it an abomination, Yul stated that he would never abandon the ways of his forefathers, which are built on truth, transparency, and fairness.
“Because of fear of what people will say, Africans are running away from their powerful African religion, and their originality. Abomination!!! I will NEVER abandon the ways of my forefathers. It is built on truth, transparency, and fairness.
“I’m a Hardcore Traditionalist. ISI MMILI JI OFOR. EZEDIKE 1. ALUSI NA EJE UKA. OKALA MMADU OKALA MMUO.THE KING OF WARRIORS.”

His post immediately sparked reactions and comments from Instagram users who reminded him about his decision to become a gospel minister in 2024.
“I taught you said you were called by God to become a MAN OF GOD.”

The irony of his post is that three days back, Yul had responded to those questioning if he was still a minister of God. He revealed that he is still a minister of God and is now more powerful because he has gone back to his roots.
Explaining himself, he claimed that God opened his eyes and revealed the truth to him which has been hidden from many for decades.
Yul’s love and support for African traditionalists wouldn’t be surprising as weeks back, Edochie made a case for Native doctors.
He noted how many pastors have the calling to be Native doctors (Dibia) but are refusing to answer because White men and Nollywood brainwashed them to believe it is evil.
The actor stated that being a Native doctor is a divine call from God as it means one has been chosen to help humanity.
Judy Austin Speaks on Finding ‘Genuine Love’

Nollywood actress Judy Austin, wife of actor Yul Edochie, spoke about the significance of true love, urging people to pray for it.
In a post shared to her Instagram story, she shared her thoughts on love and happiness, revealing that she has been on a honeymoon since Sunday.
“Been on honeymoon since Sunday And I can tell you one thing for free… Pray for true and GENUINE LOVE as much as you pray for money!!! Nobody wants to be a miserable and lonely Rich person. When you have God, Love, and Money, it’s truly HEAVEN ON EARTH. I hope y’all are having a wonderful day today??? Love always.”

Her statement, however, sparked a wave of reactions online, with many questioning her happiness and motives.
Some social media users accused her of constantly seeking validation, while others implied that her comments were subtle jabs at Yul’s first wife, May Edochie.
“Queen May success go pain Judy Obasi for life. 🔥🔥🔥 you go drop quotes tire.”
@realtruthlover
“So she’s saying May is rich and miserable 😂😂. The karma that will befall Judy, I will be alive to see it Amen.”

“We witnessed how her birthday was as dry as the Sahara Desert with Judy, Augusta, and Yul in one hotel room, while Queen May’s birthdays are always a shutdown with magnitudes of people celebrating her in the OPEN not behind closed doors, but she get mind call someone lonely🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣.”
