Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has raised brows after welcoming a newborn baby with another colleague actress, Judy Austin Moghalu, who is not his legal wife, May Edochie.
Introducing Judy as his “second wife”, and posting some pictures of the newly born, the movie star shared the big news via his Instagram page on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
“It’s time for the world to meet my son. His name is Star Dike Munachimso Yul-Edochie. Born by my second wife @judyaustin1 And I love him so much, just as much as I love my other children,” he captioned the photo.
May Reacts To Yul’s Post
Yul’s first wife of 17 years, May, reacted to the news of her husband’s second marriage, as she called on the judgment of God over the union. Taking to the comment section of her husband’s post, she wrote, “May God judge you both”.
This revelation has left several people shocked and wondering if this is really true or it’s just a hoax to promote an upcoming movie. However, per some previous cryptic messages that May Yul-Edochie posted, it suggests that the current situation isn’t a hoax.
May gave hints about hitches in her marriage in November 2021 after she shared a questionable message on IG. The mother of four took to her Instagram page where she shared a post that had the photos of Barack and Michelle Obama in their early years and then when they became the First Black Presidential family. A statement on the picture she posted read: “Never forget a woman who helped you to build yourself and stand by you when you had nothing… if she was with you in hell, be with her in paradise”. May captioned the post saying, ”Not for this generation”.
That’s not all, hours before the big announcement, May made a post on Instagram where she noted that “people reveal themselves through their actions. Life is a beautiful thing and there is so much to smile about… joy will definitely come in the morning”.
Yul in Trouble?
This latest development does not look good for Yul especially as he has declared his intentions to run for Nigeria’s Presidential seat in 2023.
“Today I declare my interest to run for President of the greatest country in the world, Nigeria. A blessed country that has been crippled by decades of bad leadership. Enough is Enough! Fellow Nigerians, stand with me let us bring the problems of our country to the last bus stop,” Yul said at the time he announced his political ambitions.
Currently, several netizens are backlashing the actor for “betraying” May. Some questioned how he will be able to manage the affairs of the country if he can’t manage his marriage. Others who were deeply disappointed by the announcement averred that “the actor they once revered has lost their respect”.
One @jennifer.ndefo wrote: “The audacity to do a public announcement. Total disrespect to your wife”.
@amakzy01: “No more Yul for President before he goes and marries more in the space of 4years on the seat while ruling Nigeria in his dreams”.
Edochie married May Aligwe when he was 22 years old. Their union is blessed with three sons and a daughter namely, Kambi, Dani, Karl, and Victory Zane Chukwubuike Yul Edochie.
