We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Transport Manager to support the effective management of our transport and fleet operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating transportation activities, optimizing fleet performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating vehicle scheduling, dispatch, and transportation activities.
  • Monitor vehicle movements and support efficient route planning and optimization.
  • Maintain accurate transport records, fleet documentation, and operational logs.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to ensure fleet readiness.
  • Support the supervision of drivers and assist in monitoring performance standards.
  • Track fuel consumption and transportation-related expenses to support cost control initiatives.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and logistics requirements to ensure timely distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with company transport policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Prepare transport reports, performance analyses, and operational documentation.
  • Support initiatives that improve transportation efficiency, service quality, and operational effectiveness.

Educational Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fleet and transport management practices.
  • Experience in route planning, logistics coordination, and transportation scheduling.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
