Position Summary

The Sonographer will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to support fertility treatments and general diagnostic services. The successful candidate will ensure accurate image acquisition, maintain the highest standards of patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Imaging

  • Perform fertility, pelvic, obstetric, abdominal, and other diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate medical diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Document examination findings accurately and maintain complete patient records.

Patient Care

  • Provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centred care throughout each examination.
  • Maintain patient comfort, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Explain examination procedures clearly and respond to patient questions professionally.

Clinical Collaboration

  • Work closely with fertility specialists, physicians, nurses, embryologists, and laboratory personnel to support coordinated patient care.
  • Communicate examination findings promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions where required.

Equipment & Quality Assurance

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Report equipment faults and coordinate maintenance activities when necessary.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards and infection prevention protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must possess:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiography, or a related field.
  • Valid professional certification and registration with the appropriate regulatory authority.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound practice.
  • Experience in fertility and obstetric ultrasound will be a distinct advantage.
