We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and proactive professional to join our team as an Accounts Clerk. This role provides an opportunity to support core accounting functions and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

As Accounts Clerk, you will:

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting systems and ledgers.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and related financial documents.
  • Maintain proper records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial records on a regular basis.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and management summaries.
  • Support payroll processing and related documentation.
  • Ensure proper filing, organization, and safekeeping of financial records.
  • Assist in budget tracking and expense monitoring.
  • Support audit processes and compliance checks when required.
  • Provide general administrative and finance support to the team.

Qualification and Experience

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
