We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential faults and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment documentation.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and upgrades when required.
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and the work area remain clean, safe, and well organized at all times.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
- An HND, Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, control panels, and production machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
- A good understanding of preventive maintenance principles and electrical safety standards.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A proactive approach to maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement.
