We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Maintenance Mechanical Technician to support the efficient operation of our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Mechanical Technician, you will:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment and production machinery.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Maintain and service pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, compressors, motors, and other industrial machinery.
- Carry out routine inspections to identify wear, defects, and potential equipment failures.
- Install, assemble, and commission mechanical equipment and components as required.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Recommend improvements that enhance equipment performance, reliability, and productivity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
- An HND, Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, Plant Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, compressors, motors, and other industrial machinery.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A proactive approach to maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement.
