Star Assurance Splashes GHS100k on Lucky Customers in Takoradi Promo Draw

Star Assurance has rewarded ten fortunate customers with a total of GHS100,000 in the second edition of its “40 Reasons to Smile” promo draw, held at the bustling Market Circle in Takoradi.

The winners, who each took home a cash prize of GHS10,000, were selected through a transparent and publicly conducted live draw, supervised by officials from the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

The event drew in an enthusiastic crowd made up of customers, key stakeholders, members of the Western Region’s transport sector, and members of the local community who gathered to witness yet another milestone in Star Assurance’s ongoing customer appreciation campaign.

The “40 Reasons to Smile” promo was launched in January 2025 to commemorate Star Assurance’s 40th anniversary. The year-long campaign was designed not only to celebrate four decades of delivering reliable insurance services to Ghanaians but also to reward loyal customers for their continued trust in the brand.

Every quarter, ten customers are selected to receive GHS10,000 each, with the grand finale scheduled for December 2025. At the climax of the promo, one lucky customer will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai—an ultimate reward for loyalty and commitment to Star Assurance.

Open to All Motor Insurance Customers

The campaign is open to both existing and new customers who purchase or renew any of Star Assurance’s motor insurance products, including Comprehensive, Third-Party, Third-Party Fire & Theft, or Third Party Extra. By simply buying or renewing a policy, customers are automatically entered into the draw, making it a highly inclusive and accessible initiative for all.

In a speech during the Takoradi event, Mr. Joseph Kingsley Eshun, the Western Regional Vice Chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), commended Star Assurance for what he described as a genuine and impactful promotional campaign.

“This promo initiative is real and impactful. I encourage all our drivers and members to continue buying or renewing their insurance policies with Star Assurance,” Mr. Eshun stated, urging GPRTU members to take advantage of the opportunity to win big while securing reliable motor insurance.

Star Assurance Reaffirms Customer Commitment

Speaking on behalf of Star Assurance, Mr. Frank Osae Asamoah, Customer Experience Lead Partner, reiterated the company’s appreciation for its customers, emphasizing that the promo is part of the firm’s broader commitment to maintaining strong relationships and celebrating its loyal base.

“Our 40th anniversary is a significant milestone, and we wanted to make it a year of celebration not just for the company, but for the customers who have stood by us over the years. We are committed to providing them with not only excellent service and protection but also with opportunities to benefit and smile.”

Building Anticipation for the Third Draw

With two successful draws concluded, anticipation is high for the third quarter of the campaign. Customers across the country are being encouraged to renew or purchase new motor insurance policies with Star Assurance to increase their chances of joining the next list of lucky winners.

The third and fourth draws, slated for later in the year, will continue to reinforce Star Assurance’s position as a customer-focused brand committed to giving back and making insurance rewarding.

As Star Assurance continues its 40th anniversary celebrations, the company is not only marking its history of excellence but is also setting the pace for future innovations and customer-focused services in Ghana’s insurance sector. The “40 Reasons to Smile” promo is just one of many initiatives that showcase the company’s dedication to its clientele—providing more than just insurance, but also value, trust, and reasons to smile.

For those yet to participate, the road to winning is simple—insure with Star Assurance and join the growing community of winners smiling across the nation.
