The Democracy Hub has announced its plans to picket at the Jubilee House from 1st December to 31st December to demand that President Akufo-Addo resign.
The Democracy Hub, which is the Convener of the #FixTheCountry movement and #OccupyJubileeHouse announced the intention in a press statement.
According to the Hub, the President has demonstrated incompetence in his stewardship of the country.
“Democracy, Hub, the Convener of the #FixTheCountry movement and #OccupyJubilleeHouse protest wishes to notify the public of its intentions to hold a picketing event this December from 1st December to 31st December 2023 at the Jubilee House.
“Democracy hub believes that the President’s stewardship of this country demonstrates incompetence, a lack of integrity, routine abuse of power, and greed. We are perturbed by high levels of persistent unemployment among the youth; and the level of economic mismanagement that has jeopardized the future of young people as well as pushed nearly a million Ghanaians into poverty.”

The organization is committed to upholding the principles of the rule of law and constitutional accountability.
Popularly, the Democracy Hub is known for organizing the #FixTheCountry and #OccupyJubileeHouse demonstrations.
Recently, during the #OccupyJulibeeHouseProtest, some members of the demonstration were arrested following a police order barring any such gathering. Many Ghanaians condemned the arrest which sparked a wider base of support for the group and its protest. The group protested the next day as scheduled, even amidst rainfall.
Even though they were unable to reach their desired destination, their demonstration received significant support, particularly online. Conveners of the demonstration promised to return with another protest to press the government to respond to their demands.
Both demonstrations were all organized under the Akufo-Addo government, calling on the government to address economic challenges.
