In a sharp rebuttal to a wave of misinformation, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, has denounced what he terms the “glaikit and criminal conduct” of certain New Patriotic Party (NPP) operatives.
The National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament, in a scathing critique, accused these individuals of circulating misleading information aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
“This time, the scoundrels and villains are circulating 2022 photos of my engagement with the management of a Chinese ethanol production company, Sinostone Bioethanol Manufacturing Limited, located in my beloved constituency when I made employment arrangements for stranded North Tongu NaBCo personnel following the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government’s termination of the programme on September 1, 2022.”

Addressing the misinformation, Hon. Ablakwa stated unequivocally that the Sinostone Chinese investors in North Tongu are in no way linked to the controversial Kantamanto incident involving Chinese nationals.
He further dismissed claims suggesting that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) receives financial backing from Chinese entities, emphasizing that Ghana’s electoral laws strictly prohibit foreign financing of political parties.
“For the record, the Sinostone Chinese investors in my constituency are not the Chinese nationals involved in the Kantamanto incident. They also have absolutely no connection with that matter”.

He dismissed their tactics as futile, urging them to abandon what he described as “loony attempts” at tarnishing his image. “The NPP’s criminal fake news factory will not succeed with their loony attempts at character assassination. They should be advised not to show up for a gunfight with a teaspoon,” he declared.
Hon. Ablakwa highlighted his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents, including creating job opportunities for unemployed youth.
His efforts to collaborate with Sinostone Bioethanol Manufacturing Limited to absorb displaced NaBCo personnel stand as a testament to his commitment to addressing unemployment in North Tongu.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Ablakwa called for a departure from malicious political tactics and urged political actors to prioritize the nation’s interests over divisive propaganda.
He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability while cautioning against the erosion of trust in Ghana’s political discourse.
