Private Legal Practitioner, Mr. Martin Kpebu, has stated that President Akufo-Addo’s address on the economy was an address full of mere slogans without any intended action.
He added that the President is only repeating ‘slogans’ he said in the past.
Speaking in a media interview on Sunday October 30, 2022, he disclosed that President Akuffo’s assurance to turn the fortunes of the economy while he was campaigning for votes in 2016 has not materialized.
“It does not cut muster. This is not sufficient. What he has said is basically looking at candidate Akufo-Addo in 2016, sloganeering, that is what it is.
“You heard the President famously say that he wanted to change the Guggisberg economy in 18 months. Its been six years down the line and he comes to say the same thing, he diagnosed the problem but he did not have what it takes to change the economy.”

He noted that President Akufo-Addo must in respect of honour, resign as soon as possible as he has failed Ghanaians.
