The General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Isaac Owusu Bempah, has debunked claims that the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has visited or consulted him to look into his destiny.
Contained in a statement signed by a Senior Pastor of the church, Rev. Dr Emmanuel A. Annorbah (ACII-G), it explained to His Eminence Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu’s Spokesperson that the publication was misleading and false. It indicated that the attention of the church was drawn to the publication by Chief Imam’s Spokesperson, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu, for which clarity was given in a “friendly” conversation.
“We wish to state emphatically that Apostle Dr Isaac Owusu Bempah has not at any time claimed that the Chief Imam visits or consults him to look into his destiny.”

The statement expressed shock that in spite of the “cordiality and harmony which exists between the office of the National Chief Imam and Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah and after all assurances given by us”, the former issued a strong-worded press statement with very “unpleasant descriptions” of Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah.
It further described the publication as only “actuated by malice, a desire for profit, sensationalism and calculated to disrupt the peaceful and cordial relationship between the Chief Imam and Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah”.
Apostle Owusu Bempah called a ‘Charlatan on the pulpit’
The church protested the description of its General Overseer as a “charlatan on the pulpit” as contained in the statement from the Office of the National Chief Imam. It noted that it reveres and hold the General Overseer in high esteem as much as the ministry loves and respects His Eminence the National Chief Imam.
It urged Sheikh Dr Sharubutu “to disregard the falsehoods peddled about Apostle Dr Isaac Owusu Bempah in the interest of fostering brotherly co-existence, harmony and peace”.
It will be recalled that the office of the National Chief Imam on January 4, 2022, took a strong exception to an allegation by the head pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International that Sheikh Ousman Nuhu Sharubutu seeks spiritual protection from him.
It highlighted that, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah’s claims are untrue and should be dismissed completely by all well-meaning Ghanaians.
Thee office revealed that the Chief Imam does not seek spiritual protection from “charlatans on the pulpit”.
It thus requested the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Christian community to advise Reverend Owusu Bempah from making further controversial and false prophecies about his Eminence, Shiekh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu.
It emphasized that the claims of Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah contain no iota of truth but represent the figment of his own imagination.
Undoubtedly, the office of the Chief Imam noted that His Eminence is a champion of interfaith harmony and peaceful co-existence but does not seek protection and prosperity from charlatans on the pulpit.
Rev Owusu Bempah is alleged to have claimed that the National Chief Imam seeks spiritual protection from him.
The said allegation was purported to have been made on Saturday, December 31, 2022, during his church’s watch night service. Among other things, Apostle Owusu Bempah disclosed that recent hostilities and acts of mockery against prophets have made it necessary for him to avoid mentioning names.
He stated that fire outbreaks may be rampant and there may be an earthquake. Additionally, he noted that certain country will experience the greater magnitude of it, whereas Ghana will experience a lesser magnitude.
Apostle Owusu Bempah also predicted the death of a person who has controlled and managed the finances of the country before.
