Felix Ofosu Kwakye, a former Minister of Information has said that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia provides little hope since, as the leader of the Economic Management Team (EMT), he wrecked the economy.
According to Mr. Kwakye Ofosu, it is absurd that Dr. Bawumia’s fans believe he gives hope.
“Bawumia and his supporters are ridiculous. They would have us believe that he offers hope after destroying our economy and rendering us bankrupt through the useless leadership of the Economic Management Team.”

“What stale joke is that?” he tweeted in reaction to the filing of the nomination forms by Dr Bawumia to enable him to contest in the presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Friday, June 16.
“After proving himself a flatfooted talkative, Bawumia claims he has a vision to transform our country. He has huffed and puffed in the last seven years and the sum total of his tenure as Head of the EMT is a bankrupt economy. Such a person must be thrown out of office, not elected.”

After submitting his paperwork, the Vice President addressed a crowd at the NPP headquarters in Accra and declared, “I believe that is the first step towards our triumph in 2024 by the Grace of God.”
“This is a very important day in my life. From Sakasaka Primary School to Tamale Secondary School to Oxford University to the Bank of Ghana as Deputy Governor and then to become Vice President of the Republic of Ghana. It has been an amazing journey and I thank God for how far he has brought me. It has not been an easy journey, it has taken a lot of hard work, discipline, and dedication to get here.”

Bawumia Promises To Take Ghana To The Next Level
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President, claims to have his own vision on how to advance Ghana in the Fourth Industrial Revolution that is currently taking place.
Dr. Bawumia said in a speech to New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters and excited Ghanaians who had gathered at the NPP National Headquarters to witness his filing and submission of nomination forms for the party’s primary elections that he had helped President Nana Akufo-Addo realize his vision for Ghana and was now running for President to carry out his own vision and advance Ghana.
“I have just filed my nomination forms to contest as flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party for the 2024 Presidential Elections. I believe this is the first step to our victory in 2024, by the Grace of God.”
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumi
Dr. Bawumia spoke about the transformational and significant policies that, despite the recent three years’ of global economic difficulty, he helped President Akufo-Addo to achieve before describing to the ecstatic crowd and, to a greater extent, Ghanaians, his vision for moving Ghana forward.
“I also have my own vision for Ghana. I believe that it is time to move Ghana to the next level by building on the foundations we have put in place so far.”

As a sign of his confidence in being chosen as the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia then offered a brief outline of his vision for Ghana and made a pledge to publish a more detailed one in his manifesto for the 2024 elections.
“Together with you, I want to see a Ghana where we attain food security in the shortest possible time through the application of science, data, Artificial Intelligence, Satellite, Internet of Things (IOT) and irrigation to commercial farming. We will also complete the ongoing digitalization of data on all farms across the 16 regions.
“Together with you, I want to see Ghana as an industrialized nation. I want to entrench and enhance the current strategy of industrialization that we have embarked on and introduce new technology like digital manufacturing for the manufacturing of spare parts, syringes, and other equipment.”
